Spartans don't die, they simply go to hell and regroup.

Actually.. this could work. The only thing would be the fact that if you block the members, what would go in place of the avatar? Just random avy's? Or would we choose secondary avys, for when people want to block ours?

What is the point of having this? While I don't mean to downgrade your idea, this is not needed unless we were able to change our avatar to something inappropriate, which Achronos/whoever won't let happen.

I'f i'm missing something in you post, please tell me.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

No, because then I have to look at the disgusting images.

Custom avatars are never going to happen. Give it up already.

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

The point is that we shouldn't have to deal with people who make bad avatars in the first place. Even with an option to block member custom avatars, there would still be inappropriate ones and we'd still have a problem finding them and getting rid of them. Also, minors would also only have the option to block these images and let's face it, there's not going to be a whole bunch choosing to do that. Bungie is a respectable company and needs to maintain a respectable website. Even if they are not inappropriate, people will still undoubtedly upload avatars that are silly and degrade the tone of the forums.

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Aside from the obvious that was already mentioned, this is Bungie's site. Why is there a need for an avatar other than something Bungie related? How does an avatar of some demon possessed rabbit relate to Bungie?

The only way I cold see custom avatars working is if there was something such as an avatar approval queue. You submit the avatar you want, and it is approved or disapproved. Your avatar wouldnt be seen by anyone unless it was apporved. This would be alot of work and in my opinion is un-neccesary.

This site is supposed to be about Bungie and the Bungie community, not a place where you can create your alt myspace page.

Yes! Edited for clarification -- yes to twink's post and not the original idea.

I am totally in favor of the ninjas and Bungie staff being allowed to have custom avatars -- it's a small but fun reward for their hard work.

But for the rest of us regular Joes, there's absolutely no reason to have custom avatars. I actually PREFER to have a large variety of pre-chosen avatars that are all Bungie-related.

There should be some type of criteria to meet a good avatar.

But of course, anyone can find anything offensive.

Your Halo 2 Emblem is the most customization you will ever get on this website.
