Okay so i download xfire to talk on halo pc and the mic i have is a 360 mic and i plug it into my USB 360 controller the thing is the sound of the game plays through the mic speakers not my pc speakers themselves, is there any way i can still talk and hear people through the mic but hear the action of the game through my pc speakers? i have vista bye the way...

please help!

No idea, but you could try to check under playback devices.

ya i tried and that no options, im very confused right now and i cant call microsoft because they charge and arm and a leg for support?

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Manage Audio Devices(under Sound)

That's the first step ive done and im not a noob, does anybody out there that has a 360 mic and a 360 controller been able to fix this?

Im using Xfire but i really want to solve this problem for next week when halo 2 vista comes out i dont want bullets and gernades going off in my right ear while trying to talk to my team?

Make sure audio output is set to go to speakers and not audio device.

see that's what i have been trying to do and everything looks good except when in game it doesnt correct itsself thats why i thought it was some device error in the mic or the controller?
