Um...my Halo won't load up on my PC. It worked the very first time I played it, then just stopped coming up. I updated it and everything. HELP!!
Slaying noobs since 2007.
Uhh got any more than that?
Okay..I'll put in the CD-ROM, I'll click "Play, and the window for Halo will come up. It will stay up for about 2 seconds (literally), then minimize and stop working.
Did you screw with anything?
Nope. I changed the controls the very first time I played, but that's it. It just stopped working the next day.
Did you change the video settings or change the drivers for your graphics card?
Did you mess with any hardware and/or also?
No. I never mess with Graphics Cards or Drivers.

Are you the only one who uses this computer?
Except for my mom. She just uses E-mail.
Is this just Halo, or CE? Oh and when you say stop working what do you mean, will it freeze up or exit out of the application?[Edited on 05.02.2007 1:08 PM PDT]
OK i had this same Problem. I'm going to assume you just got a new Video Card or Upgraded to Windows vista. What you need to do is first make sure you drivers are updated. Then change your WINDOWS Resolution to 900 x 800.Then start up Halo.It should start.Go to settings and switch the Resolution to what ever you like depending on your Video card, for me it was 1280 x 1042Now save those settings and exit Halo.Put your WINDOWS Resolution back to what you set Halo to.This problem is caused when you change your OS or Vid card. Halo sometimes cant automatically recognize new OSes Or Vid cards.EDIT:If a warning comes up stating that halo dint shut down correctly and a bunch of crap then select the "Start Halo in safe mode". It happened to my other CPU when i got vista. And then to this one when i upgraded to a ATI x1950 pro Video Card[Edited on 05.02.2007 11:00 PM PDT]
