Dude... I found out MS has bad drives in XBOXes older than 2 years (varies abit). Now get this ->
If you have one of these boxes you are A$$ed out.. becuase MS will first make you create the problem before admitting to an issue.... like gamers really want to send their box back - can we say saved games!!!. They do not admit to errors unless it occurs on 3 or more games. And they do not acknowledge H2 as one of them - if it occurs on Optimatch (the wonderfull "Unable to Load Maps") They will claim it is the update for Nov.24... uh... still happens ALL the Time Micro$oft.
You can see hints of these bad drives... if it happens in Fable - with slow game play during fighting - as your drive struggles to read the data. - or the classic "Dirty Disc error" The more data crammed on to the discs - the harder the drive must work to get to the higher layers.
The issue seems simple to gamers... RECALL the boxes. Otherwise REV the box to 2 - and do not publish discs that can not be played on REV 1.
So Micro$oft will repair our old boxes for 79.90 + shipping... but as we all know.. new boxes cost 150. hmmmm... not fair :(
In the classic words of FightClub - if X * Y * Z < Cost of RECALL --- ignore the customers :(
