If I worked for bungie I would ask for a bodyguard. The gameplay online is so erratic the word CONSISTANCY must be removed from all the dictionaries at their HQ. First they dont' have a server. Are we supposed to believe they can't afford it? EA and others have their own. Second is the cheating. Lets make a clear rule Bungie when you make Halo 3: IF IT IS NOT LISTED IN THE GAME MANUAL AS A MOVE IT'S CHEATING. period. No more surprises. No more glitches. Gears of War doesn't sporadically decide 1-3 shots with a sniper rifle kills an opponent. Madden 2007 doesn't allow hackers to Have 5th down and 10.
If I can try and interpret your illogical post, I'll try and get a response here.
Let's see:
1. Servers. Yes well if I'm not mistaken, EAs game's aren't nearly as popular as Halo 2, any of them, plus, don't we all hate EA. I mean up until xbox live, they'd pull their servers each year so you'd have to get the next game to keep playing online. Example, if you had Madden 2001 and then Madden 2002 came out, the servers for 2001 would be shut down and used for 2002. Yeah, EA is a terrible example.
2. Bungie knows about the cheating, so do we, and most of us hate it. There's nothing they can do about it so why complain?
3. GoW is very inconsistent in my opinion. Host has a much larger advantage in Gears in contrast to Halo 2 where it is only noticeable with the shotgun and occasionally the BR. I've played games in Gears where the shotgun pulls off headshots from a couple of meters away and misses completely at point blank. Halo, lag and host aside, is very consistent, unless damage resistence, handicap, or overshield is used, it will always be 2 sniper shots to the body or 1 to the head for a kill. Madden is not an FPS and is between 2 people, completely different and I'd imagine cheating there, with mods and whatnot, would be much more difficult. And people can standby in any game without dedicated servers.
Oh and I'd stop playing rumble pit, out of over 1000 games, you've won 49...
