Yo, I'm trying to reinstall Halo and it stops installing at 1% everytime, i can close or stop it so that means it is not running. Oddly enough, I can play Halo Custom Edition, but I'd rather play with more people on the regular version, hence why I am attempting to reinstall it. Any thoughts? I have completely removed Halo, checked for corrupt files, to no avail.
Your disk is dirty or damaged. Try washing it with hot water then drying it with a fine cloth.
Washing it! are you serious?

Posted by: Kenshin1283i usually just spray windex or somethin on it and then dry it with a soft cloth.Windex or any commercial cleaners are much too harsh for cleaning any plastic especially CD's or DVD's. The chemicals can dissolve and fog the plastic. CD's and DVD's are an optical medium so dust and dirt can interfere with them.To wash them use a weak solution of kitchen dish soap and warm water and with a non-abrasive or soft cotton tight weave towel immerse and gently wipe the CD from the inside out, never with a circular motion. Rinse in warm-cold water to remove any soap then pat dry with a clean soft cotton tight weave towel.
Thanks Dr. UXB.
