I'm wondering if it's a joke because ya know i don't want to be sued because if it really is bungie on my website threating to me saying crap like im plagiarising the news when i just re-posted the same thing in my forums for my members to read. Also saying that I stole there template when all i did was creatively re-create it because its impossible to copy the code and images and make it work on my own hosting. So would a member of bungie please reply to me about this matter and i will release the link of my website to you so it does not look like I am advertising.

I honestly, seriously doubt that Bungie found my website and then decided to register in my forums and say things of this nature.

"Do you think plagiarism is funny?..You keep on stealing our post and of course our template.Same consequences go for this post as the template one does.

Have a nice day!"

"How dare you steal the template from Bungie.net without even mentioning it to the staff or anyone on the forums.Consequences will follow this post to your account on our site and of course Halo 2 if the template does not change in the next week.

Have a nice day!"

"There will not be clan matches in Halo 3 for the stats of people who actually played 'Clan Match', was less the 5%.Instead the clan option will be used as more of an addition to the friends list limit, and Freddy, don't forget about the changes.."

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Um... This is a bit confusing.

But... sites like HBO and plenty of other news sites copy news from Bungie all the time. You should probably only copy relevant parts of the story though, and make sure to provide a link to the rest, for anyone who wants to see the whole thing.

I doubt it was Bungie though. If it was official, they would have contacted you through better means, or at least provided proof that it was a real Bungie employee.

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I would give credit, but I seriously doubt thats Bungie.

They hardly post in their own forums let alone go to random sites... >_>

I doubt that's Bungie. Unless they all failed English in primary school.

On another note, dude, you should probably just get your own website. It seems like TOO much of a rip off to me.

Bungie is too busy with Halo 3 to care about your website. However, there are thousands of spammers and flamers at B.net who could have posted that. Bungie is also too busy finding Ling-Ling's head, making the Pimps@Sea deluxe edition, and building a slingshot. Maybe the Soul wandered, but it seems to have plenty of victims here.

I work here: Sound Devices, LLC. We make bad-ass field audio gear, and you think that's awesome. My messy desk (With work-related items on the computer screen).

One does not simply grenade jump into Mordor...

No, it most likely wasn't Bungie. Like someone previously said, they would probably contact you through better channels.

However: Your website is a blatant visual ripoff as far design and layout goes. It does test the boundaries of web plagiarism. Of particular note are the fact that the "Top Stories" image on your site appears to be a direct screen-cap from Bungie.net. Also, your logo might very likely infringe on a design trademark that Bungie might (Probably does) have on their logo (In other words, your logo is so similar that it can be argued that it is a violation of the trademark). Also, the small text on the bottom with the copyright symbol and then "TrickiniT Corporation" is a little sketchy: You're claiming copyright on something that clearly wasn't designed by you. If you really want to go there, you'll also notice that you're not messing Bungie (Take a look at whose name is down by the copyright symbol here at Bungie.net).

The main issue is that there isn't much that can be done legally if someone simply copies the design of the page. The legal power gets more applicable when something is actually copied (Code, content, etc). Your code looks fine (You use ImageReady to make a table based layout: yuck. Bungie probably uses Visual Studio to make a CSS based tableless layout: cool). The main thing I would think about are the logo (Very similar to Bungie's), and the news content you supposedly copied.

I'm not a legal expert by any means, but I suggest redesigning your site for artistic/ethical reasons. You've obviously got some web design experience: Use it more creatively...
