When you think about it, how much more could there be? A few levels on a covie ship, take care of a space pope, fight a little with a homefield advantage, blow up the 7 with a nice little arc.
Now if I wouldn't get banned for giving away what I think would be "Halo 3", and inevitably giving away Halo 2 plots, then I would let you people know. I'm pretty sure anyone over the intelegence of a redneck could figure out what would happen, and I'll be the first to say it couldn't be more than 3 hours of game play.
This is where I think game sequels screw up. Allot of "sequels" just finish off a block of plot, give one or two new guns, a few new multiplayer maps and maybe a gametype or two. The difference between a sequel should always be the plot, now that anyone completed Halo 2 could probably guess what will happen without any difficulty. Unless if Bungie decides to blow up Earth, just to prove me wrong. Unreal tournament did exactly this, add a few guns, make the graphics a little bit better, spend a year doing it and say you worked on it for 3 years, make a million dollars.
My point being if Halo 3 came out, we would all know what would probably happen. There probably wouldn't be many twists or anything like that found in the other two halo games, so in order to change that they might update the graphics a little bit, add a few guns just like they did in Halo 2 and maybe mod a few existing ones, a few game types like maybe a squad based match where you can have marines vs covie and have heavy soldiers with a sniper and weapon classes et cetera. That would really be the only difference, I wouldn't call it a sequel, it is litterally more of an expansion pack.
Look at the difference between Halo and Halo 2, Half-Life and Half-Life 2, you really never expected a sequel to these games. Most people thought that sequels to these games were just a dream, now everyone expects a sequel. Compare what Halo 2 is to what Halo 3 might be, get my point now?
I'm sorry, but some people just require things to be dumbed up for them to get a point. I don't mean to sound like I'm making the same point over and over.
