You're either first or you're last.

You'll never amount to anything, go back under your bridge.

I recently read the main page info about the new maps, saying everyone should be able to download them except for some exceptions
I AM ONE OF THOSE EXCEPTIONS

Why does this happen, I have a good high-speed connection, I had both of my computers off at the time, and I've tried for the past week at many staggered times (including 1 am on a thursday).

Do i need to like..change my xbox configuration?

When I click on purchase maps, it goes to the download screen, from there it is slightly loaded, then it just spikes to fully loaded. After this, it says purchase failed. It is like this, always. What should I do?

step1. aquire a very strong magnet
step2. swipe magnet over xbox a couple times, about 5 times for good measure
step3. see if you can download the maps again, if you can't repeat step 2 until you can.

I tried that once, I also once tried throwing my xbox out of a 3d story of a building while on fire. Still nothing ....-_-.

I am also one of these people. It is really pissing me off. Are you trying from a 360 or Xbox? I am trying from a 360, but I haven't had any problems download the other maps to my 360.

I'm trying from a 360, I sold my original xbox anyhow. However, all of my other map downloads were on my old xbox, as I've had halo 2 live for a few years, and my 360 is semi-new.

Кланяються мені!

Purchase failed means your credit card is not valid. Either you have the wrong security number entered or you dont have $4. Go to walmart, buy a $20 gift card, use it to buy maps, use the rest for some mircosoft points and bam

Yes, I've already validified my credit card, also during April I was charged on the same credit card for one of my two xbox live accounts, my credit card is still good.

If you have multiple credit cards in your account, make sure you have the valid credit card selected, merely go to account settings>memberships>change payment options, and scroll to correct credit card, push a to select it, start up halo 2 and proceed with installation.

That was my problem, i have multiple credit cards, it said "purchase failed, you will not be charged for this transaction" so i went and did the above change of credit cards and sussessfuly bought the maps and downloaded them in about 10 minutes

Keep updated on your credit card, i have 2 linked too my account, one is my parents, the other is mine. You never know when you go over unless you keep tabs on what you spend. I always keep the receipts to everywhere i go and add them together and subtract them from my card and keep my balance in a check book. But your problem is definatly due to your credit card being invalid

And, I've confirmed my credit card on BOTH of my live accounts ( I only have one to choose from) AND, Bungie has glorified the statement "Everyone should be able to download the map pack" where as, I still CANNOT. It does the same thing it was doing before, I've messed around with all my configurations and it is not working.
