No more advice giving for you.

Your graphics card is great, I don't know what kind of ram you have, but 1gb is about fune, your processor is also fine. If you do decide to update just remember pc6400 ram and a core 2 duo.

halo2vista, that card COULD be better, if you got a 8800

7950 is probably one of the the best DX9 card on the market.

get another gb of ram and a new CPU then you would get WAY more frames.

I have the same question as the thread starter and this seems like a good place for me to post my specs.

So, here are my current specs, how well do you think i'll fare with the new Halo 2 Vista??

CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 mhz
RAM: 2 gigs PC3200
OS: Vista Ultimate Edition
GRAPHICS: ATI Radeon X1600 Pro. AGP interface, 512megs DDR2 memory
Hardrive space: over 600 gigs free.

I have been thinking about upgrading the processor to a pentium 4 3.4EE mhz chip. I just haven't gotten around to doing it.

I can run halo 1 in full resolution with no problem. I have a 22" widescreen monitor. So I run it with the resolution cranked up. Command & Conquer 3 runs great on my machine. UT2004 runs like a dream.

I have the 22" Viewsonic widescreen monitor with the built in iPod dock. Great monitor for the money. I forget the screen resolution at the moment, but I believe it's something like 1600x800? or 1680x1028.

Also, why would you guys say i'm being sarcastic? I can't run a lot of newer games. FEAR runs like crap on my machine. C&C3 runs good until there is alot of units running around. I wan't to try Need for speed carbon, but I don't want to drop $30 bucks on it.

I am not really a noob at building computers. I did it regularly back in 1999 and 2000. I just have been out of the "high end gaming" machines for a few years, and I am just now getting back into that market.

My graphics are limited to my motherboard. I have no PCI-E slot Heck my motherboard does not even have Sata connectors, I had to buy a sata controller card to install and use my new internal 500gb drive. I only have a single AGP x4 slot. What card would you recommend for that set-up? I also have an upgraded 450W power supply.
