I'm liking this idea of a dedicated halo3 beta forum, but as someone previously stated, i think it would be a better idea for those who play in the beta only be able to post/vote in the forum, but everyone and their grandmaw can read in it. It would filter a lot of pointless rants and rages by people asking by the secoond, "how is the pistol" "did you find glitches" "i'd beat you if i was in the beta" blah blah blah and so on.
Now, I do not doubt that the moderators wil have it under control, but nonetheless, it would make it a lot easier on them if they only had to filter things said by the people who play in it which should mostly be constructive feedback which is what this beta was created for in the firstplace right?

You know what? I agree with this, but there's really no way to police it. It would be unfair, for example, if a guy who did not manage to get a Beta invite (through no fault of his own... just bad luck and not enough cash to buy Crackdown) goes over to his friend's house and plays the Beta for a couple of hours, finds a bug and has some comments about gameplay issues, and then cannot discuss them in the Beta forum. I mean sure, he could tell his friend to post it in the Beta forum, but I would imagine that he would want to discuss it on his own Bungie.net login ID.
There will probably be many of these people, and in my opinion, they are just as entitled to discuss the Beta as someone whose gamertag is actually linked to a valid Beta code. Then, you've got plenty of people on here who will definitely be in the Beta but have chosen (or had no choice) to link a different gamertag to their b.net login. They also are no less entitled to discuss the Beta.
As it is, I think that the moderators are just going to have to police the Beta forum a little more, although I imagine that after a couple of days, the bad posts will quiet down a LOT.
I can't wait to see the rules for the Beta forum... they will be a very interesting read, in my opinion.
