Why not just say "Hey, I'm Master Chief! btw, I'll be the climactic hero of the game, and will eventually save the universe from destruction. Oh, and I will be 'finishing the fight'... soon.".

He sounds like a little panzy girl, he definatly doesn't sound like he's 30 odd. Anyway, that looked more like pre Halo. Too much marines getting in on the action and not enough of the loveable Flood.

“I believe that the sound of racking the pump of a shotgun is universally recognized as ‘kiss your ass goodbye’.”

Man, that was an awesome trailer - a mess, sure - but nevertheless an awesome trailer.

Chief's voice was the best. Sounded like a bloody robot.

lol.........I always get a lick out of it when I see that trailer now. I remember when I first saw it, I thought it was going to be a 3rd person shooter that was going to be ok, but nothing great. You have to love the upgrades in everything.

In the heart of Africa, at the dawn of time. They built it.

S3NATOR has brilliantly taken the next philosophical and theoretical step, and advanced mankind once more. For that, I'm forever grateful.

Those weren't drinol. Drinol are bigger and walk on 2 feet like a human. I remember seeing this way back when Halo 1 first came out. My friend thought it was a Halo 2 trailer. I lawled at him because Halo 2 hadn't even been announced at the time.

Originally there was going to be some weired animals on the Halo's. There is another early video I've seen that has huge dinosaur looking animals that resemble brontosaurus's.

Oh....this....It's on the Halo 2 Map Pack(the first one) in Extras Section. I've seen this a dozen times. In the Halo 2 Limited Edition DVD, they talk about the flock creatures. They're not Drinols, but Bungie was unable to implement them into the game because of the code required to flock them.

In the very early stages MC could ride these beasts.
