Is it possible that a Bungie / Microsoft / HiredGun employee takes a look at the MAW forum (Halo 1 & 2 for PC), since NO ONE gives us any answer there!!
Alot of people are annoyed there since the "official" release date of Halo2vista was/is TODAY, but for some reason its been delayed!! And we would like to know what that reason is...

Thanks!

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

It was a Microsoft delay, not Bungie.

I really hope not to offend you at all, but you should probably use Google rather than keep hitting "refresh" in the Maw hoping for an answer. If you Google "Halo 2 vista release date delayed," this is the first result:

From GamePro online:
GamePro received an e-mail from Microsoft today notifying us that the developers of Halo 2 for Windows Vista are delaying the release of the game, which had originally been planned for an American release next week on May 8th.

"We're making some updates to Halo 2 for Windows Vista that should improve the install experience and address other technical issues, ensuring that the final retail version provides a fantastic experience for gamers," the statement writes. "Given these changes, we will be adjusting the on-shelf date of the product."

Although the message does not specifically state how long this delay will be, retailers and other video game-related websites have already taken the liberty of extending the U.S. release to May 22nd, 2007.

Oh what a surprise, The Maw gets screwed over again. Why are they ignored? When I posted questions about Halo PC there (quite regularly), they were extremely helpful. And despite the constant flaming from various sources (yeah, you, Kim), it's one of the most tightly knit forums. Almost like a public group.
And yet, almost no Bungie input occurs. No Gearbox input occurs. Very VERY little Hired Gun input. In fact, the most reliable 'dev team' input comes from the Halo 2 Custom Edition team, who ported every Halo 2 Xbox map to Custom Edition. For free. Without Bungie, Gearbox or any other assistance, other than community members.
For shame, Bungie, you could have at least checked up on and posted about the Halo 2 Vista delay.
