I care about it, I wanna play it online.Let me tell you one reason out of many why Games for Windows Live seems to suck:
Some of you have fifty-something aliases riddled with alt codes that you couldn't live without. On the Live network system, you only have one account. You could make more accounts, yes, but they are much more persistent and carry much more meaning than some in-game profile that doesn't follow you from game to game.
You want to use clan tags over Live? Okay. You can actually change the name of your account, if you want. At the price of 800 Microsoft Points, which is the equivalent of 10 USD. Oh, and you can only use letters, spaces, and numbers. That basically means something like 99.9% of clans in many PC games (not just Halo) can't put the same symbols (including alt codes) into their names.
Basically, making an account like MŧT£® KÌM is out of the question. Also, like Btcc22 mentioned to me, no [MAW], MAW~, MAW! or anything like that will be allowed. #amp-_Rhe7ør!c`, [TmC]¶Ñ§àÑit¥, CS[noscope_|.i+i.Reaper, MAW~P®A¥£Ř/«TUI»Sheepy! ۞, ˜S†àbúck$™, and an extremely high percentage of PC gamers will find this an inconvenience as they have to make a name with just letters, numbers, and spaces.
I suppose it's all for good purpose (i.e., it won't take you forever to input someone's name to send them a friend request or a message), but this is something many PC gamers would rather do without.
