I work here: Sound Devices, LLC. We make bad-ass field audio gear, and you think that's awesome. My messy desk (With work-related items on the computer screen).

One does not simply grenade jump into Mordor...

Well, the story today said they will be free in early July... Is that soon enough? As far as marketplace, I was under the impression that original xbox content (i.e. anything for H2) can't be distributed via marketplace, so I don't think we'll see that one.

Glad to hear that.

Map prices are a little weird, $4 spent will end up with so much more entertainment than, say, $9 spent going to the movies... or $12 on a book. But to get it free? Hellz ya.

It's practically 70% of most Halo players' weekly allowance (The same 12-year-old who was -blam!- your game up last time).

[edit: I've come to the conclusion that the thousands of 12-year-olds who ruin the game for you are actually the same child under different tags. Hmm...]

Yeah, but if you multiply that by the amount of people who download it, it's a good chunk of change that might help pay some bills and feed some mouths. Actually, if you assume that every person who the little ticker on this page said played in the last 24 hours (~250,000), you're actually looking at nearlly a million bucks... To bad it seems (As of now) that a couple thousand bucks of that represents people who still don't have the maps...
