I am definitely REALLY mad at bungie right now because they made Rumble Pit unranked... That's what I would do when none of my friends were online and now I can't do that to help get my level up. Anyone have the same opinion about them making Rumble Pit unranked?

We’re looking back laughing because they called us crazy, but we took that chance on that feeling, living for the moment, we were spinning in. Maybe we were a lot of things, but we weren't crazy.

Agreed. I've said this countless times and made my own thread about it, but it was the worst idea ever. I started getting into it before my Xbox broke and it was a game where I didn't have to rely on team mates to win the game. And you don't have to worry about the quitters, de-levelers, stand-byers on teams, etc. Its all about you in Rumble Pit and I loved it. I want it ranked again.

I am happy that they combined Rumble Pit and Rumble Training. I would have to say that I play Rumble Training way more than I ever played Rumble Pit.

Rumble training sucked(fiesta, pistols sword). Everyone always quits when getting pwnd. It was so fun having a rumble rank being higher than someone TS rank

I'am very glad Rumble Pit is unranked, 'cause if you ask me Rumble Pit is a random game at high competitive play.(its hard to land first place consistently) The Hole point to levels is your showing your treams great coordination, wich in turn shows of skill. But don't get me wrong if I were to play 7 players who have only been playing halo2 for two months,I would win, why?,'cause ive been playing Halo 2 for two years,so yes, to a point Rumble Pit does show off skill but it only shows it to an extant.

Awesome, and Good for you!

Now, instead of playing Rumble Training with people who don't get all worked up over ranks and a perverse need to humiliate their peers, you can play "Rumble Pit, Unranked", with all of the same people who played Rumble Pit except that there will be no ranking system to ensure that you play against people of something like your skill level.

But why would you want to play "Rumble Pit, Unranked" with a bunch of domination obsessed knuckleheads of wildly differing skill levels? Well, it is the only Rumble pit you got, now isn't it :/

I know I have an issue with my temper and may say and do things in a match that are embarrassing and regretful. I try my best to control it but things tend to get on my nerves...like Armor Lock for example. :P
So if I do do or say something bad, then I'm sorry I didn't really mean it and you should just get over it.
Thank you.

I'm not too happy with the decision either...

I like it. I always felt it was just a screw-around sort of playlist anyway (even though I was level 21 before the rank reset).

Jump feet first into Hell in ODST Recon, THE place to be on B.net!
"Fifty years from now, when you're looking back on your life, don't you want to be able to say that you had the courage to get in the car?"

Why would they take away the only FFA ranked gametype that's available? So now no matter what I do, my ranks are going to depend on my teammates in one way or another. I liked rumble pit because it was the only true measure of how good YOU are against other people, not you and your teammates.

unranked rumble pit was borly easy. So all i would play was ranked rumble pit.
Now when nobody is online i am stuck with a stupidly easy game, which means i go and play starcraft instead of halo2.

You have a rank, its just hidden so you will get matched up people with your hidden rank, its just nobody will "care" thus they wont try as hard, and your hidden rank will be a 50 and every game you play will be fairly easy.

  • 05.10.2007 2:24 PM PDT

I totally agree this sucks bad!!!!!!!!!!! The absolute only gametype I played now gone!

  • 05.10.2007 3:02 PM PDT

Yeah, well I'll be leaving bungie if they keep -blam!- -blam!- up like this. Maybe I'll go out and buy a PS3...

you and all the other wackos who dont have a brain need to go to a different thread and post this bull-blam!- there dont clutter this thread of negitivity with positivity and btw rumble pit isnt a random game and its very easy to get first consistently if your actually good at the game u will. Dont assume the stuff u typed because u werent good enough at halo2 to hang in rumble pit. Thats why rumble pit was the best playlist because it distinguished the people who get their friends together and be as cheap as possisble in every team slayer game to get higher ranks than me from the people, like me, who are way better than those noobs who have to be cheap to win and arent good at the game beyond rockets or sword. I mean come on if u were 24 in slayer and a 29 in rumble pit u would get way more props not to mention that your actually talented at this game than if it wasvice versa.

Bottom line is that rumble pit took the most skill out of any playlist to get your rank up because if u can take on multiple people at a time by yourself then why would u need good team work when u can kill everyone your self.

also anyone one thinks that rumble pit shouldnt be ranked shouldnt be posting your opinoins on this thread because no one cares about it

Rumble Pit took a lot more individual skill than any other game type. Now it's just full of guests, noobs, and quitters. I was a 26 in there and at that level you fight nothing but 30's and 40's.
