This is just the beginning. More Halo players are starting each day. You guys know Lil Poison right? He's a nine year old gaming pro and wonder what kind of rad skills he'll have when he grows up.

LP isn't that good. You know D3M0N D and HaMsTeR? They're practically his age and x2 as good as him

There is no random out there who can compete at the level that pros can. You get to that level ONLY through playing with them, because beating people worse than you in MM can only get you so good, and if you play with the best, you can eventually become the best.

2 things make pro better than your normal halo player: really good hand eye coordination and a buttload of time to spend perfecting the game.

we all love the occasional 50-10 beatdown of people who suck at halo 2. but ur right, only way you can get better is get owned by people better than you, and consistently play against better people. problem is the majority of high levels (35+) are arrogant jackases who think they're god at halo 2. In a match with one team of 4 great players going against a team of 1 great and 3 good players, that one great guy on 2nd team is going to eventually leapfrog the others in terms of how good he is, if he has the potential, because he's consistently fighting 4 great players, while the 3 good ones will be behind him in progression. the 4 great players gain very little from beating on lesser skilled players.

As for no random being able to beat the pros, that's just something you have to look at on an individual basis. maybe I am good enough to beat one of them 1 on 1. maybe you are. you don't know until it happens. but if you keep playing them, you'll make yourself better.

however bungie had to take away 1 v. 1, and even make rumble pit unranked, so it's all focused on team games now.

doesn't matter, at the end of the day, it's all good.

OC girl they are the best.. lol The good players on XBL play with the pros and eventually go to events. This years opener a player who had never been to an event Igoturpistola Placed 3rd in the ffa however was already known on live.. They're the best.

Maybe you misunderstood me.

Some of the players who may actually be "the best" might not have the money to go, and/or might not have the time to go.

Maybe you misunderstood me.. A player who was that "good" would be playing with pros on live. Even if they didn't attend events they would be well known and playing with top players.

That's a huge generalization. If it happened to a player like you or me - maybe. But it's not necessarily true. The player may not have enough time to make good friends, or perhaps shares their account. Or maybe they don't want to be associated with pros. Or maybe their parents don't let them accept FRs.

Nope. maybe there are people out there who have the "potential" to be as good. But the pros have more than just basic skill. They have teamwork and knowledge of the game you can only game by playing.....well with the pros. If you don't take this game seriously, you won't become as good as them.

Yes, there are kids that can't afford it, but if they were that good, they would play with pros, and if they formed a good enough team, a sponsorship would not be hard at all. There are kids who are nothing remotely close to good at this game, who get sponsorships, its really not that hard. With its rising popularity, companies are looking to give sponsorships.

Again, there isn't some random kid who plays once a week who is as good as the pros, but just never plays with them.

Agreed.

On that list of the original topic, I'd say that Ogre 2 is the best Overall probably.........with Karma being the best in terms of finishing top in 1v1 and Teams last season.

Now about the best..............I'll agree that there are more than likely a few players out there who posess better skill, or can do some things the established pros can't. Take Toxic Euphoria for example. This is probably one of the only people who play Halo 2 who can do stuff like what he does in that video.

Yet he can only make semi pro (yes he has been to events.) This shows that even "undiscovered" talent can only go so far until meeting someone who gets a paycheck for this stuff. I play with a couple people who could definitely go pro if they went to an event, or at least place really well, I'm sure. But I don't know if taking the TOP spot is something they'd do. As Raptor said, people who are really good and not discovered can only go so far until they meet the established people who are good and have been playing this game for years (the pros.)

Teamwork means staying out of my way.

Uh why isn't TSquared a choice? He's widely regarded as the best Halo 2 player in the game and his contract only supports that.

Its hard to say who is the best, but I was playing with three good friends in THC last night and got matched against Naded and three singles and he tore our world apart. Team ball on warlock, he went 46-14 with 2:35 on the ball!!! Sick BR.

What does it prove if your the best at a video game?? Is it gonna get you a lasting job, prepare you for the future, let you get exercise??? The only reason these guys are on the list is because of one company, the company who must not be named. I did not vote and will not vote. I agree with OC girl from Page 1.

thats all good points but what is the best team overall>and i expect most to say Final Boss.

Maybe you misunderstood me.. A player who was that "good" would be playing with pros on live. Even if they didn't attend events they would be well known and playing with top players.

Good point.

Let's put it another way. I was, for quite a while, better than most my friends on Halo. Most of my friends regularly played with pros. I, however, did not. Why? Because I don't like playing with "proz". It wasn't because I sucked, because for a while, I was actually pretty good. Not at "pro-leverl" of course, but still good.

I like playing with certain people, and generally speaking, "pros" don't fit into that category.

Not everyone enjoys playing with skilled people. I like playing with people who I can just have fun with. Sometimes they happen to be very good, but if they have skills and no personality, they're off my list.

So you think every good player on Halo will play with pros? Well, sorry, but that isn't true.

Karma only came in first place in the FFA last year. Oh wait, he also came in first in the 1v1. AND he was on Carbon, the team who finished FIRST.

he may not be my favorite player, but there's no question on whether who's the best. And how are you guys rating these people? Have you played with every single one of them and there teams to determine this?

If the question is, who is the best overall player, you would have to play them in 1v1, ffa, team objective, and team slayer...with ALL of those teams to even make an education answer. Stop voting on something you guys don't have a clue on.

just pick 1 of the 8 that u think is number 1 and reply if u want 2 :) i Made a mistake The Halo God is sopposed 2 be FBI HALO GOD

Im going to assume that you want to know who I think is the best MLG player, not Halo 2 player. Best all around, id have to say Walshy because he is so damn clutch, has a great BR, can snipe, is fantastic in close-up combat and is the teams tactician. You cant really say who the "best" MLG player is though because ther term "best" applies to alot of different things:

Slaying
Objective
Support
Teamwork
Sniping
Close range
Clutch
1 vs 1
FFA
Grenades
Glitches

Even that list is subject to debate. If I didnt say Walshy, id have to say Karma because of his numerous titles.

I've seen Walshy play on VoD on the MLG website and watches his comentaries and interviews. He appears to be a good team player and since that's the most valuable skill IMO I would vote for him. I also see him as something of an inspiration which is kind of funny since I've never met him.

I don't think there's any need for a pro/anti MLG argument here since that will just end in tears anyway. Perhaps the topic creator could have picked a less in your face title but what's done is done. I would expect everyone to be big enough not to post here and offer nothing but contempt but I guess that's a bit to much of an expectation...

And if someone is better they would have beaten them in THC, which would make the pros send them FRs and they would be playing with them. This doesnt happen because the pros are called professionals for a reason......

Last time I recall, they have been beaten in all playlists.

Second to last I also recall, not everybody sends FR just because someone is good.

Really envy, If I were to see your games and see everyone you lost do to good players, can I confirm you have sent them all Friend requests?

Really I furthermore recall, not everyone who receives a friend requests accepts it.

More than furthermore that I recall is, Since the pros have been beaten more than once and by randoms, Is it safe to say that not one game can mean as much as it's context shows? I thought I thought you something envy. Come with an argument then L2Post!!

Wanna play soon? =)

How bad are you? We use magic! L2Harry Potter

Yes. Last time it was a 70 v 1 and I won against of of them. Liek pro.

Agreed. They would have to have been played in all or at least most gametypes with different people. If to judge someone you have to pit them against 7 players peole already know, that we we don't have variables.

Let's say we do do 8 players with skill levels of x y g d l s e and t. then when we put in yuntaz, we won't really know how good he is. We need set up graphs, time lines, the whole shabangabang.

Of course we can always vote for our favorite and skip the technicals. So which in my case, ICEMAN!!!!!!

No. You can't have my vote. Iceman FOREVER.
