a) If you have played longer than em then you should easily beat me right?
b) You have never played me and refuse to play me
c) Reasons such as there is no competitivity are no reason, since there are still hundreds of clans competing

Your twl team came 3rd, clan noone won twl, and lost to us. Get it?

Sorry to tell you that a) I have never heard of you in kw, and nobody I have spoken to has
b) I highly doubt that you have been in a clan that has won 4 times but failed to receive a medal once
c) You can be in a kw clan, not paly and the clan can still win.

There you go, btw, since you were in a champion kw clan, your account will be on record, can I have your account name?

THEN you make fun of me competing in kw, just after you say you have won it atleast 4 times? lmao @ you.

a) So Michael Jordan should dominate Kobe Bryant because he played longer, despite the fact that he hasn't played in ages? Your logic sucks (borrowing Roo's example, love ya babe)
b) Yes, I have. It's your word against mine, null argument.
c) A lack of competition is THE reason most Halo players left the game. You know nothing about competitive gaming.

I played KW shortly after CAL died. My name and record may be on there, it may not. Look for yourself if you've got a fetish for me. The teams were mine 3/4 times, the last time it was clan teh¿ with basically everyone from SKa and NoonE. You wouldn't know about it, because you're bad. You havent heard of me, Roo or dutch because you're bad.

Do you get flamed this regularly on the forums? I'd feel sorry for you if you didn't have it coming to you :(

Time to sleep, have fun thinking up counter arguments all night (or day in your case) that'll get shot down in the morning.

Good arguement there, say you've palyed me, yet never mention it ever before and apparently you stopped playing before I started. Then say "You're bad". Nice one. Then compare halo to basketball.

Classic case of obvious stupidity.

Your past win ratio is 73% and relatively recent win ratio is 20%. Indeed all the good players have left, yet the more you played the more games you lost?

I have played you, I have made mention to it, you claim you've never played me. Once again, your argument against mine. Null and void.

I never said I stopped playing before you started. I said I no longer play, and you started playing way too late to know anything about competitive Halo PC.

You acknowledge the fact that I called you bad, now we're getting somewhere.

I'm not comparing basketball to Halo, I'm making an analogy. Or rather, Roo made it, I used it because you clearly didn't get it the first. Or the second. Sorry if it was over your head.

And then the kid who couldn't understand my arguments calls me stupid. Oohhh, the irony.

okay, talking about 1 arguement vs another? You stopped playing way to early to know anything about competitive halo pc.

Then the guy that doesnt understand the mathematical inequation:

Clans these days > Clan Noone > Your clan in your prime

I don't know why I'm still arguing with you, you're illiterate. I'm going to spell it all out for you in one final attempt to drill it into your skull, if you don't get it, sorry. Roo and dutch went on for two pages and gave up I guess, you're dense.

1. Halo PC's competitive community lasted for approximately two years. It started late 2003 and ended at the end of CAL season 3. A weak image of it's former self lasted shortly after in TWL. You played in neither.

2. Halo PC's competitive community consisted of two major leagues. CAL and CPL. The drive to play a game for competitive gamers is fueled by money and major bragging rights (news coverage). WSVG, CPL and couple other major gaming leagues have some news coverage. The news coverage is fairly recent, so it was about the money and the bragging rights among the community back when Halo PC was new. When you take away both of those (no more money from CPL and no more bragging rights from CPL and CAL), the community withers away. That's exactly what happened.

3. You have played in Klanwars, a breeding ground for cheaters, whiners, immature brats and pricks. A select few people that still play and/or plan on playing Halo 2 Vista are mature and worth mentioning. The rest of your community is bad at Halo, bad at debating, and bad at reading.

You have no right to make judgements about any player or any team that played before you started. It's simple logic. If you don't have a clue what you're tlaking about, you can't make any comments about the said topic that makes any sense. You know nothing about what teams I was on or how/when/where/what I played.

Get a clue.

We never played NoonE in TWL. Why are you making comments about that which you know nothinig about? I don't get it. If I were you I would be THOUROUGHLY embarassed by now.

Edit: Your response to my question was yes. Have you heard of ANY of those teams prior to reading this thread or the link I posted? I'll be surprised.

Nessy, You say there are (X) number of clans still competiting.. Competiting for what, Nuthing. You play for fun because you cant play on the competition level. You are from The UK area and your prolly under 16.... Do you know what an ANalogy Is. ?

According to webster - resemblance in some particulars between things otherwise unlike

Your the one who compared Real life to halo. Try to take heavies out of a map because you cant control a map ? That adds a whole new element of the game you know nuthing about. "Map control" You get dominated , you cant hang or adjust so you simply try to remove it, I mean come on, "done use heaveis because cops dont carry them in their holsters.."" LMAO what a joke.. Sounds like you need a Vacation from life dude.

THe point he is making is that After Summer 2004 When the cpl had its last tournaments All the "pro" players quit, Back then None of the Top KW teams could hang, They entered Cal and struggled....

So even If I concede now that your a great halo player! What does that mean, Nuthing... What pro tournaments have you entered and what did you place.!??? I demand your info sir, What team name and what tournament. Your what we call A "pub" all-star. Which means your good in a public server but wont amount to KAkA in a real competitive match.

and Btw the PC version wont have auto aim playa, Use your crappy excuses elsewere, Just say your too young to afford vista and a new computer, PLay a game that has been dead for 3 years now, and dont give me that crap that over (X) (------- thats a variable) people still playand have (X) amount of servers up and running. Halo2 which you have dawned as crap still has over 50 thousand plus players playinga night.... Holla back

Much love to the goochers R.iP. ;P

You obviously don't know the difference between professional and competitive.

Competitive players play for competition, professional players play for money. So that is your arguement done. Now, there was competition back then, it was of a comparatively low skill level compared to now. Thus I believe competition is better now.

Money doesn't mean more competition, it means more money. Also, when kw started and you were apparently playing, clan noone played months and although they didn't win, they also finished months with 98% win ratios and stuff, they didn't win cos clans like yours wouldn't play them.

Roos post is full of stupid comments, you say the pc version of halo 2 wont have aa, obivously it wont, but he posted a halo xbox link and i commented on it.

Map control is possible without heavies. but playing games like 2v2 co ts with heavies removes aiming completely, the rockets nerf every other weapon.

Now, what are we competing for? To be the best, to win, I don't need to play for money to hav e a good time, I just like to know that I am playing amongst the best players in the games history.

OH, and btw I have a core 2 duo, a 7900gto and 2gb of 800mhz ram, so maybe take your stupid judgements elsewhere. Be embarrassed?

Are you serious? You're telling someone who played at both CAL and CPL (Roo) and who played CAL (Me) that we don't know the difference between competitive and professional?

So professional basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, rugby players aren't playing competitively? Do we seriously have to pull a dictionary out for you twice on the same page? Sigh...

Better to die on your feet then live on your knees!

Time for your PissTest.

Nessy.

Maybe I can help bridge the gap since I played CAL/TWL and was active in KW until about a month back when I started playing more 360 games.

Keeping in mind I considered myself average at best during my peak. Not to mention, I used an xbox controller the whole time, so while my pistol and heavy use was solid my sniper suffered.

First, I'll relist my KW achievements, if you can call them that.

Former admin KW-13.

Former GooN leader and {UFA} Co-Leader.

KW Team cups.

GOLD. {TEK} Aug 05, {UFA} Nov 05 and Feb 06, =DS_ July 06, [M2K] Sept and Oct 06 and GooN Dec 06

SILVER. {UFA} March 06 and GooN Jan 06 (had Clan Est. reported their 5v5 loss before the month ended as per the agreement and admin forum ruling, see ID 46924)

BRONZE. {UFA} Dec 05

We Would have had one with cK Cereal Killers at 18-0, but every clan just stopped playing KW's with us.

These 9 team cups, 7 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze, mean very little since KW was all I had left. However, I still enjoyed the game and wanted to play though the drive and skill to compete was diminished after my friends retired and CAL along with TWL dropped the game.

My CAL teams were average at about 50%. My TWL teams ({TC}, HFE-I, Fl3sh), played all 6 seasons (3 ctf and 3 assault) and made playoffs all seasons and of course we had people in all ladders as well.

I played against both the old CAL clans like Xeno, Grassroots, U5, TAU, cG, F1, r- and just how many more, I forget. I have played in KW with and against UFA, FOX, NoOne aka X-Men, TimeBomb, M2K, TEK, INF, ROK, 6FD, EST and once again too many to list.

All that having been said Rooo, Faux_x and Dutch are correct as I NEVER found one team in KW that could compare to most of the mid not alone upper CAL teams which were borderline robotic in terms of team play. Keep in mind the clan NoOne you beat (I have SS of our clans wins against them myself),is a watered down version of what TWL had, and even when they were at the top of their game, they were average at best when compared to what once was (no disrespect or lack of credit to them as they were a solid team when they cared enough to be competitive).

Even some of my recent KW members Ebay, Icy, Idrew could match up to your current 1v1 or team needs, if any of them stil play, and yet they also fall way short of what the many of other players had. This is not to take anything away from them, as they are some of the best from what's left, but just to say you have no idea what these other players played like and how they would shut a team down methodically.

I have moved on from HPC (long overdue) and now await H2V to be with some old friends once again and expect to be competitive, though not to the same level as the semi-pro or pro teams who spend 12-14 hours a day playing and have ice for blood, as I have a family, fiance and work that will always come 1st.

Just stop embarrassing yourself now and try to rebuild what little reputation you might be able to salvage.

In my experience, as long as you just play the matches and avoid the drama altogether; Klanwars can be a pretty good place to play against good players and gain alot of skill. Just be aware that not everyone there is exactly mature.

Just play your matches, report your losses if any, and move on to the next one.

Best post on this thread, Piss.

Nessy, I simply can't understand how you can talk about CPL, CAL and TWL when you have NEVER played any of them. It doesn't make sense. It's like me talking about playing at Wimbledon when I never did more than play at my local country club and play JV for my high school team. I COULD DESTROY PETE SAMPRAS EVEN THOUGH I'VE NEVER PLAYED HIM, BECAUSE HE'S JUST A WASHED UP HASBEEN.

Oh and after reading this insanely long thread, I'd have to say that I agree with Faux_x, Dutch and Rooo. Although sadly, I never was around to experience CAL or CPL, from what I heard from [FI]DarK, it was a pretty damn good league to be in. I might be moving to H2V if I can get a fast enough computer that can handle it beyond the basic needs, otherwise, I'm just sticking to the Xbox version. I probably moved there too late to join any leagues, but there is always Halo 3 to look forward to.

Oh and Nessy, I think its time to give it up. They got you beat in almost every arguement here, so I would quit it before you make yourself look extremely stupid.

K, I think you guys are missing the point. You were worse back then, so you didn't win as many games. And we all know that winning kw does not make you the best clan in kw, you play in kw to finish top 10 to compete in the playoffs.
I don't knwo what you are arguring for, I am arguing that there is competition in halo nowadays, and that players now and obviously better than players back then. You guys bring up the fact that there is less money, but there are definitely better players. I am not playing for money, I am 17 years old and am doing fine, I am playing to be one fo the best. I don't need to go look up old friends to come in here and back up my point, because I know that what I am saying is right.

You guys are not as good as current day players, and I am sick of you using "competitive halo is now dead" as an excuse for losing.

And I can talk about cpl, just like how you guys can tlak about kw these days, complaining about hackers or whatever.

I find it amazing that you guys can possibly deny the fact that players are better nowadays than they were in the past. Simply amazing. You seem to think that competitive halo = money, yet competitive = competition.
