NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB SDRAM

or

ATI Radeon X1600/256MB

I dont think rest of computer specs matter, but anyways

250gb+ Harddrive
2GB Ram
Intel Core 2 Duo (2.16ghz at least, maybe 2.33)

Im looking for a video card that will perform better, aswell as have a longer lasting life. Thanks

The 7600GT is better when looking at those two cards... otherwise:
1650Pro = 7600GS
1650XT = 7600GT
with the 1650's doing a bit better overall than the 7600's.

Go with the ATI Radeon X1650. I find that ATI renders Active Camo alot better.

You can force halo to render down the amdti render path so that point is moot.

If the shader architecture was better it would be fast, and it isnt. the 7600 GT is the faster card.

You have an Intel processor. So I'd recommend the GeForce. It just naturally runs better on Intel. ATI are more for AMD processors.

Who told you that, It doesn't matter what CPU you got, as long as it can handle the cards performance theres no real difference.

7600GT vs X1600 Pro

Winner = 7600GT

7600GT vs X1600XT

Winner = 7600GT

7600GT vs X1650 GT

Winner = 7600GT

7600GT vs X1650 Pro

Winner = 7600GT

Benchmark

^Above^, the benchmarks are for 7600GS vs X1650 Pro, but the 7600GT is included in the benchmarks.

7600GT vs X1650XT

Winner = X1650XT

Benchmarks

7600GT vs 7600GS

Winner = 7600GT

Benchmarks

Price vs performance, well I live in Australia so the cheapest 7600GT goes for like $190 and the X1650XT goes for like $230. I'll let use decide whether the extra $40 is worth spending. As for all the other cards, definitely get the 7600GT. As for the 7600GT vs 7600GS, the 7600GS can hold its own against the 7600GT and even beat it in a few things, but once you crank up the resolution plus AA and AF, the 7600GS has no chance.

Erm, first I've heard of that.

It tends to be preference. Some like Intel and nVidia, some prefer AMD and ATi (now one and the same).

To a degree, the decision is simply preference.

Nvidia is the way to go for gaming. Don't go buying ATI brands only for the sole purpose in seeing the Xbox-style camo...

Forget brands and get which card performs the best for the price you are looking to spend.

"intugraded" cards sucks donkey balls. Not to mention, you don't buy integrated chips, it comes with the cheap PC you end up buying from Dell or HP.

LMFAO. You must be 3 or something. Dell or HP makes the best computers? They're only considered "good and trusted", because soccer moms who have no idea how a computer works, buys these cheap, non-effecient computers for little kiddies like you to play Elmo's Number Adventures on.

Oh, and you obviously failed 2nd grade English. you can't spell even if your life depended on it. And yes, the x3000 COMPARED to the other integrated chipsets, is "better", but it still sucks ass. I mean, go afford yourself a graphics CARD, and stop thinking you know what you think you know.

You sir, are retarded. And I shall tell you why. First off, Dell and HP, both suck (very badly at that). Second off, it's no even a tangible graphics card, how the hell are you going to get it by itself? And third, don't talk to Ipjuunin like that, you have not earned, nor has your grammer earned it.
