Why don't you guys just post the maps on xbox live marketplace, so the people that are having problems on their 360's can download them. It won't even let me in content download. I just go to a black screen and my xbox freezes. I've called the xbox support line more times then you want to know. They couldn't help me. And I don't know whats going on over there, but the new playlists aren't that great. Don't put all your attention over to halo 3 just yet please.

Apparently, they won't do this because they want it to be available to owners of the Xbox and 360. Which doesn't really make much sense unless there's some problem with releasing the same content on content download to both systems and the marketplace for 360 owners, so I guess that must be the case.

On one hand, I certainly know nothing about the technicalities of XBL content distribution, and Bungie does. Obviously, they must be aware of a reason for not doing that.

On the other, Bungie has made some weird-ass and nonsensical decisions in the past. They haven't explained precisely why they're not taking this course -- not that they need to -- so I don't see why they wouldn't. But I'm inclined to believe that Bungie has thought this through and has determined that releasing stuff on the marketplace isn't the best choice.
