i understand that it cost money to make these mps, but it should be an OPTION to pay for them, because they decided to come out with new stuff, I have to buy it in order to play the modes on this game that I want, that were available on the disc when I bought it??? C'mon bro, just think about it. I didn't know that the maps were going to be free in July, that cool. But I mean, not that this is my situation, but imagine yourself as a kid, your parents got u and xbox and live and halo etc. U love halo, and now you can't play online, and find joy in screaming into the mic because you gotta pay another 4 bucks into a game you already paid for?? Crackdown just came out with new content, imagine that you had to buy it in order to play the game, how would you feel about it?? Gears of war just came out with new maps, and you can still play every mode they have to offer w/o d/ling the new content. I just think that Bungie or Microsoft should have said, OK we obviously want to charge for this content, but for those who don't want to play the new maps, WHO DIDN'T EVEN LIKE THE ORIGINAL MAPS ON HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED, now you gotta buy them in order to play the maps you actually do like, it's stupid beyond belief. I know the beta comes out this week, and everyone will be playing that (that got and invite or crackdown) but what happened after they close the beta? Another factor is how these maps were suppose to be exclusive for the 360, now you gotta download them again on the original xbox as well? then contact MS and have them refund you for the 2nd transaction? that's -blam!- dumb. They screwed up, they should have made these new maps available in a download with the new new update. So for people who wanted to to just play the old maps, you would keep ver. 1.4 and for those who want the upgrade you update to 1.5.
rong...if you think about it, halo2 did not come with Matchmaking. read behind the halo2 case, it does not say anywhere on there that it comes with playlists or matchmaking. just online play. bungie created the matchmaking system, bungie created the playlists, and bungie is the one supporting these playlists and keeping them alive. it is a privilege, because bungie is not making you pay for their matchmaking system. hell if they wanted to, they could have a system like gears (not bashing on gears, great game, terrible online setup) and totally screw us over. when u payed for halo2, you payed for what was on the disc, not the extra DLC that was inevitably going to come.
