I've been a huge fan of Halo and Halo 2 since it was first announce all those years ago. But I've reached the end of my tether...what's with poor quality releases recently Bungie??

I had to wait 2 weeks before I could actually download the 2 new maps. During which time I had to endure Frankie accusing everyone who had problems downloading for somehow trying to steal them. Nice one Frankie, screwing up the download is one thing, but accusing your fans of stealing is plain unprofessional.

It gets better, after waiting 2 hours for the maps to finally download I find out you screwed up the map content and you require EVERYONE to re-download the maps!!

So I'm typing this while I wait another 2 hours for the new maps to download. Bungie, you guys need to realise it isn't ok to do stuff like this. Spend more time on your internal QA processes before releasing updates.

I'm sure you've annoyed thousands of fans in the process of this map update. Oh, and you might want to consider getting someone to check Frankie's Friday updates, I for you one don't like being accused of something I obviously didn't do.

Here's hoping Halo 3 map downloads won't be as painful.

Calm down. They did not accuse you for stealing, and as for the people that did try to steal, it ways only $4 and they need a job if they didnt want to pay $4. And if it took you 2 hours to download the maps, then i would not be so angry at bungie, i would be pissed off at my internet

Frankie said there were some people that tried and did steal the maps. He didn't say everyone did. Quit exagerating. As for the maps, quit harping on Bungie....they didn't even make the maps. Certain affinity did. They realized there were a couple minor glitches and fixed them quite quickly (which they didn't have to do). The download process did not go smoothly because of how they had to provide them through XBL. And as we all know XBL is run by Microsoft. So your beef with download problems should be with Microsoft, not Bungie. Now quit being a missinformed whiner!

As a customer, I don't care whether it's Certain Affinity, Microsoft or Bungie (which incidentally is owned by MS) that caused these problems. It's what the end-user experiences that matters. And the experience was complete rubbish.

As a customer I shouldn't have to know or care that a separate vendor wrote the maps. You've completely missed the point. It's about lack of quality. And in this instance Bungie dropped the ball entirely.

--7-- I've been a Bungie member since 2004. --7--

All I did was read your topic heading and I'm not going to read the nonsense in your body.

The maps were made by Certain Affinity NOT BUNGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It only took me five minutes to download. Blame Certain Affinity, not Bungie! But it's even more mean to pick on Certain Affinity 'cause they're new to this kinda stuff.
