Tombstone sucks for anyone on blue team. I dont know who's bright idea it was to start an overshield inside red spawn, great idea!! (not). Also which bright spark made red base higher than any other part of the map so that red team has advantage because it was another great idea to spawn everyone with battle rifles. The overall look of the map is good, it just sucks in game play.

Yes that's true but blue team spawns with total advantage of the Sniper. So you can two-shot the overshield. Plus Blue team is quite a bit closer to the Sword. So you can easily take down that overshield and stay at red base. Its all about strategy.

True, but red team kill you before you reach sniper or sword because they have the hight advantage and so battlerilfe the crap out of you. Dont get me wrong i do like the map, i just dont like the way it plays.

You're ignorant.

Red gets access to a better base and an overshield. Ok. So what? Blue team has more access to the Sniper Rifle, Sword, and Brute Shot. As well as the higher ground on the catwalks.. Keep that in mind. Both sides are perfectly balanced.

Funny, no one complained about this in the original Hang 'em High.

I can just picture Mechalord reading his post to a group of Halo fans at GameStop in real life: loud, halting speech, his pimpled face turning red with anger at weak noobs, wildly gesticulating and banging the counter to drive his point home, stroking his tiny teen mustache like Halo Hitler. You need a girlfriend buddy.

I think Tombstone rocks lol, its Desolation I dont care for all that much, mainly because I think its way to big and wide open to be SMG start and have only like 2 br's (that are almost never there when you look for them) for medium/long range combat in the entire map.

It is unbalanced for certain gametypes.... I was in a custom 8 vs 8 swat game on Tombstone, the other team spawned at blue base and got dominated the entire time. I think in a regular slayer match it wouldn't be too bad though. There is enough cover so that you shouldn't be able to get BRed from that distance.

ive had a hard time wtih tombstone...mainly cuz the other team gets host. and if your trying to get the sniper from either side, i just get screwed up cuz their br is much better.

Tomestone suck ass because host rapes up top. If you have host and sniper you win 99.9% of the time. Unless you suck really really really bad

Learn to control the map then. Honestly, its not that much harder to control Tombstone than it is to control Halo 1's Hang Em High. Since the team bases were switched around during the conversion (i.e blue base is now red and vice versa), if you spawn on Tombstones blue base, simply use the stone structures for cover and make your way around the lower right side of the map. Have people go for OS in the sewer area, and someone for snipes and sword. I hear kids complain about who gets host or what not, I honestly don't see a difference between on-host and off-host, there is no bullet lead, and most of your shots will connect unless your pinging in the red; but I come from Halo PC, and there is major shot lead there when you are off-host.

Anyone care to inform me of what difference there is for Halo 2?

....because it was SWAT.

In a normal game, red base doesn't have much of an advantage, because the size of the map makes it so Blue team just has to sit tight at Blue base, and red team can't effectively kill them from that far across the map.

There's also more ways into red base, while there's really only two effective ways into Blue.

Funny how completely different weapon placement Hang 'em High has. The addition of two overshields and no active camo and the changing of the rocket spawn is really messed up.
