all right, the idea behind cutting back on less-played gametypes is to IMPROVE matchmaking as a whole. Rumble training got cut because nobody played it. If nobody plays a game, matchmaking will fail. As such, Bungie incorporated games like BTB now, the old 6v6 which would've originally been a huge success if people wouldn't quit whining about BTB which takes forever and a day to load since it became unranked and no one cares to play when they can play custom games and have so much more fun.
End result, bungie made a smart move by cutting some of those slayer types, and unranked 6v6 btb rocks now, because it was the main way to boost the leaderboard. I know. I'm a bridger.
