No i don't think so. I know alot of people are upset with this latest update ( i know how the feel i loved BTBSk) however I understand Bungie's reasoning. Halo 2 just had its 2.5 yr anniversary their aren't many games out their that can say they can still drag in over 200,000 individuals players a day when they are as old as H2. I very much doubt that GOW or Resistance will be able to pull of those numbers 2.5 yrs down the road. However the H2 population is constantly shrinking as people move on to other games. Unless the average player wants to wait 10+ min to get into a match Bungie is forced to consolidate the playlist to help redistribute the population which means getting rid or consolidating playlists. If anything i would think that the release of the new Blastacular map pack would show that Bungie is trying to keep its current H2 population in hopes that they won't stray to other games which in turn may result in them not buying H3.
