I just bought Halo for the XBox today, and started playing it. I'm having a lot of fun except for the music. I'm probably missing something, but I've scoured the manual and looked through the in game settings and there doesnt seem to be any way to turn it off.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Why would you want to. The music is great. Just give it time, it'll grow on you, trust me.

The music might be good, but I always find that after playing for a while it gets on my nerves. This is always the way I've found game music... ok for a little while, annoying after a certain amount of time, and extremely irritating after that. I also like to play my own music when I'm gaming. Just turn of the game music and crank up the sound system.

As for the volume button, well, you need to have some volume to hear the game sounds. You need to hear the bad guys to know they are there.

It's definitely a pity that they havent given the player a choice with the music. I probably wont end up playing it very much I guess. Shame.

hmmm, how strange. That's the first one I've ever met(=read posts of) who didn't like Marty's music. Tastes vary, but it is indeed a shame that you would give up one hell of a good game just for the music. Personally I think that, even though the music's fantastic imo, you kinda don't notice the music anymore once you get into the game. My advice to you is to keep playing untill you get in the game.

the music can add some exitment to the game, after playing it for a couple hours, u'll think of it as a backround noise that can vary according to the predicament ur in, for instance, the lst part of the maw, the warthog part, would not seem to be the end of the game and u wouldn't be like, "its gonna blow!" if the music wasn't so damn loud and powerful.

bum bum bum buuum, bum bum bum buuum, bum bum bum buuum, bum bum bum buuum bum bum bum bum
