Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Last I checked, the Halo 3 beta forum was implemented for players to provide feedback on the game and divert all the flooding of the Halo 3 forum. So far, the entire thing is just a duplicate of the Halo 3 forum.
There's a ton of ideas buried under already answered questions and mindless threads. What happened to the rules I was hearing discussed before the forum was implemented? There has been a lot of concerns (Read: complaints) about "elitism". I think that locking the H3 beta forum to H3 beta users only would be the straw that breaks the back for people who feel left out. For a lot of people, that is their only conduit for information regarding the new game. Amongst all the threads, there is actually some respectful, friendly discussion going on where people who are able to play are answering questions about what the game is like from people who aren't able to play. I think that is important.
Of particular note is the thread "First Impressions and Known Glitches (Continuously Updated)" that was started and actively participated in by Saint. It is now Stickied and there is a lot of good discussion going on there.
Good point. Not only that, theyre posting in the right forum, which is more than I was expecting.
Closing the beta forum for a spell would just mean that they would spill out into the rest of b.net. Plus, we'd see 400 "Why cant I post in the Halo 3 beta forum?" threads in The Septagon.
