Notice: this is by no means the self-evident truth of the incidents at hand, only the author's representation
Everyone is always curious about how moderators come up with their whacky, tweaked out names, well laides and gents, I've come to solve this issue.
Let's start with SketchFactor. What do you know about this person? Well for one he likes to draw, but do you know why? Well, let me tell you. It all started in 1990 when Sketch was visiting Chernobyl. During his visit SketchFactor would get increasingly close to the radioactive 'left-overs' from the Accident. At certain times he'd even stuff a handful of it in his mouth and yell, "IT'S FREE AND IT TASTES LIKE CHICKEN!!' while bystanders (by bystanders I mean those over a mile away) watched him with disdain. Eventually, this started to get to Sketch, who at the time was really called 'Greg' for short. The increasingly toxic levels were inherently fragmenting Greg's brain to the point where he saw nothing but the most spectacular array of lights any person could possibly imagine. This led Greg to draw for a living. In which case he received the first part of his name, Sketch. Well, Sketch wasn't finished just yet, he was trying to figure out a way to make a even cooler and more obsecure name, until one day he was hanging upside down with his rabid monkies and landed on his head. He shouted, "OH WOW THERE ARE SO MANY PRETTY COLORS, THEY ALL FACTOR IN!" In which case, he finally received his name.
Moving on to Shishka. Growing up Shishka had a fetish for dead cats and fat babies. He'd constantly badger his mother to 'run over that cat' that was in the street, sometimes winning and going to pick it up off the pavement to wear as a hat. Sometimes he'd run around yelling, "I AM CATMAN FEED ME OR SMELL LIKE DEAD CAT FETUS!" They promptly fed him. Where does this lead you ask? I will tell you. One day, while roaming in France (he heard a rumor that cat was a dilectable there) he came upon the idea that he might just be able to make a cat shishkabob. Being haunted with this idea he came up with many names for it, cat-on-a-stick, shishkacatbob, etc. He finally settled on Shishka-mo-catenhagen. Which in plain English means, 'Cat in a hat". Well, Shishka-mo-catengagen became increasingly popular on the Bungie.net forums and eventually had to shorten his name to something professional. So we get, Shishka. An extremely professional name.
Yet, we have one more to go. Our belived Stosh. Looking at stosh, there really isn't much to say but you know what he was when he was growing up? One of those annoyingi Osh B Gosh kids who couldn't speak English correctly. Inherently they always added those 'sh' and 'ch' and OSH! to every word in the English language. Well, stosh's English problems were hereditary, so he wasn't alone. Whenever he tried to say OSH B GOSH! He would delightfully yell, STOSH B GOSH! Like he couldn't form the words in his lips. Eventually, his mother gave him this nickname because of his bad English abilities. To this day he hasn't lost the name, and his daunting English problems still loom over his head, once in a while.
This is a tribute to our moderators with great names, and even more mysterious personas.
