One day I went to play Halo 2 with my account The Prodigy 2010 and I got a message saying that I was permanantly banned from playing Halo2. I never play with a Microphone and I dont cheat or Mod (Xbox 360). I sent an email to bungie and they sent me this generic message about cheating and what can be done about it. I stopped using my microphone because to many people like using racial slurs. I even recorded one guy with my digicam while he was talking during the game and sent it to bungie and absolutly nothing happened to him. Can anybody help me out here or point me in the right direction?

You don't get a permanent ban for no reason.

I personally think you're just a big cheater who is trying to find a way to get back to cheating.

Sweet justice.

I see you only got to play for 2 days...maybe a little bit less. Did you use a 48 hour free trial card? Otherwise, it sounds like you cheated and got caught. But you can try sending an emal here: h2cheats@microsoft.com and explain the situation.

Asking for your account to get unbanned takes as much time as going out and buying another account.

Something similar happened to me. I think my situation has to do with an error downloading the new maps.

I've sent an email to Bungie everyday since I got banned and they have yet to adequately respond. Its really poor customer service.

In response to SbK BrY:
You fail to realize that making a new account costs money; I don't know say $50 worth. Let's say you work for $10 an hour, well thats 5 hours worth of "time" then isn't it. I don't mean to be derogative to the OP if they make more or less or whatever, but your argument just blows SbK BrY.

i had a similar problem on another account. I switched my account from my xbox to a 360, and then got a message when i tried to sign on that i had been banned.

I'm certifiable.

If the ban was from MatchMaking, you need to contact h2cheats@microsoft.com and request they review the ban.

If the ban was from all of Xbox Live, meaning you can't play any Live games, you need to first make certain that the parental controls aren't locking you out; that tripped up a lot of people migrating their accounts. If that's not it, you need to speak with Xbox Live support directly, either through xbox.com or 800-4my-xbox.

-- Steve hopes you get this resolved, and must lock this thread as the forum really isn't the place to discuss your personal account info.
