hello, kids....

frolicking around xbox live like I do every day... I have talked to many people about they MASSIVE amounts of people that will be buying Halo 2. I cant imagine Xbox Live handling everyone that will be online playing Halo 2. It will be glorious... but how will they create such a huge server?? My biggest fear is getting charged EXTRA for access to Halo 2 through Live.
Comment on what you guys think will happen

Ya, I'll agree that a lot of people will be playing Halo 2 on live when it's released. But I would hope that bungie and microsoft would have anticipated the demand this would put on the servers, and be prepared for it. As for getting charged extra, that would suck.

Charging people to play Halo 2 would be extremely stupid, not in a million years would they make that mistake. As for Live not being able to handle it, I think they'll be well prepared. It'd be a huge blooper if the servers gave up just after the release of Microsoft's one and only true flagship title. I'm not worrying about it, if something does happen then there's always singleplayer to keep me busy for at least a month.

I agree, do microsoft and bungie know how big this game is gonna be? America, England, Australia, Europe, all these players will be linked to xbox live for the chaos to begin. We need faster than broadband for this game, we ultra fast severs.

Yea, that would definalty scare me, but I really don't think that would stop to many people ffrom buying the extra stuff needed. Halo 2 is a reason all on its own to buy xbox live.

You Bungie guys are preparing for this right? I can't think of a game bigger than this in recent memory; on top of that, it's going online

Xbox Live will probably be so slow do to traffic for about the first 10 years. The it might slow down......slightly.

Of course they know how big this title is. M$ is willing to pay millions on XBL and will defiantly give their number 1 selling sequel plenty of servers and probably hundreds of dedicated servers.
