Hiya Frankie!

First off, let me thank you guys for a really amazing game! Campaign is like nothing I've ever experienced and the new multiplayer maps are fantastic.

After playing the game for a week or so, I do have one question: Why were the damage direction indicators removed from the HUD? Nothing's more frustrating in Halo 2 MP than being in one of the more open maps and getting nailed with no idea what direction it's coming from! I'm sure you guys had a decent reason for removing it, but it's something that I feel really detracts from the overall experience. Is it possible to for you to reinstate them to those who want them as Xbox Live downloadable content?

I actually had a question or two myself. Obviously everyone is wondering about the game, and the ending. And mine isn't so much of a complaint about how the ending was formed, but it just seems to be that Halo 3 *cough cough* if that's going to happen was marketed as Halo 2. Much of what we were brought to expect wasn't really there, and I understand part of the reasons for that, but I think that may be while so many people are a little frustrated.

Some problems in my opinion however are.

1) How difficult would it be to make the game specifically show you which levels have been beaten on which difficulty. This was already in the first Halo, and I liked it a lot - I find it very annoying that it's not there anymore.

2) The battle riffle, coceptually is one of my favorite weapons, but it sucks. Takes way too many headshots to bring down an elite on legendary - and not the most effective on multiplayer - I think it should have been powered up a little.

3) Frag grenades as well have become primarily useless, because it takes about 3 to kill an elite, and isn't so much more effective versus human opponents. Now grenades seem to serve as a diversion unless you stick someone - which doesn't make 'frag' grenades any less crappy.

4) The Banshee also seems relative pointless in multiplayer now. The ghost, but in the air, and more difficult to control. I think this is because the FRG was taken off - but it was too powerfull in Halo PC I suppose - so what if it was just weakend instead of being removed.

5) The shotgun used to be an extremely effective weapon in Halo, at close range particularly. However - it doesn't seem now that it was revamped to account for duel-weilding. In fact, it seems weaker. It also just tends to suck.

6) Also not so much of a complaint, but I was just wondering what the continued reason is for not allowed color gradients to choose from on your characters. Like picking specific hues of color as opposed to, say, 'olive' or 'green'... Why not an RGB triplet, or a more custom color such as something from MS paint. I wanted a maroon color, but the crimson is the closest I can get, and it seems to have a pink tint. Just slightly annoying.

However, I only didn't write the things I like about the game, because there are too many. I was genuinely very happy with the game, and thanks and congrats to you guys - nice job.
Responses would be nice though.
