Ok I know that a lot of you hated the ending. I don't hate the ending, but it definately came too soon. I love the story and was just getting all excited for it to go into an absolutely crazy go nuts mayhem to conclude and suddenly I was looking at the credits. It was like getting on a roller coaster and loving the ride. Then you go around a bend and see all these loops and things coming and the ride stops all of a sudden. In that regard Halo 1 had a better ending because it felt like it was actually ending. You knew that you were on the last board and knew that you were finishing the story. This felt like a book had the last few chapters ripped out with a pasted in note saying "the end." I was seriously shocked (and not in a good way) when the credits rolled. I love the story, and don't neccesarily have a problem with the way a lot of things turned out on the ending, but they should have brought things to an end better.

Also, I had been expecting more earth based levels. The adds all made it look like you were going to be doing a lot more fighting on earth and we were going to se earth get toasted a lot more. That would have made for a more compelling story I think because we all would relate to protecting earth more. So it would be awesome if they made downloadable levels to do that in the campaign somehow.

So I hope this will become the most popular thread just so they can realize that they really should bring more campaign levels to us. There are lots of players (myself included) who like the halo franchise for its story. Multiplayer is fun, but there are lots of multiplayer first-person shooters. What sets the Halo appart from all of those is that it also has a great story. As of right now I don't even have Xbox live set up. I would do so if it meant I could get campaigns because I for one like the story aspect of Halo most.

So please please please Bungie, give us downloadable campaign levels to bring the campaign to a more solid ending. Leaving loose ends for a sequel is awesome and neccesary, but this story didn't have anything remotely resembling a proper conclusion. So it was a great story right up until it ended too early.
