It's only part of the core game play because everyone and their mother does it. Could you imagine the incredible amount of whining, b****ing, and complaining they'd get from 12-year-old modders/standbyers/cheaters, which is the majority of the community found on Halo 2 Xbox, if they actually fixed their game? Bungie would rather go with the profit instead of fixing their damn game when it comes down to these button glitches.

Either you are incredibly exaggerating, or you are incredibly wrong.

Oh really? Why do you think things like health and fall damage are no longer apparent in Halo 2? You don't honestly think Bungie just decided to say, "Hey, let's take out the things that make this game harder to play and involve different variables into game play!" Halo 2 is a smashing success because it appeases the masses, and the masses are appeased with cheap, fun entertainment that caters to them.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Yay, another letdown from Bungie. There's no way I'm buying this crap now. See, I like fair games.

What I'm wondering is if the people on the keyboard can swap through speed. Like pressing shift in Americas Army cycles between walking running and dashing. Is this the case with H2v, or do we need a 360 controller to walk? (cause if we do that spells hell for my machinima)

They probably didn't remove it because it's probably a glitch in the engine-core, like superbounces, it would take too much time to fix. I'm pretty sure they have a good reason not to fix it.

Laziness is right.

How they could leave these button glitches in on a port to the PC is outrageous. They had to know these would be easily macro customized to the masses.

Something that was a nuisance in Halo 2 XBOX might be a gamekiller for Halo 2 Vista.

They didn't remove the BxR, thankfully. I personnally don't use button combos for every kill but I would if I could.

Honestly though, complaining about button glitches in H2V is like complaining about the double melee, backpack reloading, quick invis, and all the other glitches that made Halo 1 so skillful and frankly, more interesting. Because it set you up above the normal crowd in skill so that its tougher for them to keep up with you in terms of skill. If everyone just kept on shooting their guns till they get a kill as Bungie intended it, it would kind of make the game more boring in my opinion. I say just stop complaining about it and use it to your advantage.
