Me, Im 1st or second best on my team, in almost every game.

Here is My Kill/ death/ assist stats:

Total Kills: 7973
Total Deaths: 11949
Kill/Death Ratio: 0.6673
Total Assists: 2864

Kill/Death ratio isn't a measure alone. There are other variables in that ratio.

Like when you are playing objective games, you don't care how many times you die, you just want to capture the flag. In fact, the more you kill the enemy, the more they respawn at the base, thus hurting your chances of getting the flag.

Or sometimes you continue to play after your entire team has quit. You will get killed alot.

You have to take alot of "stuff" into consideration if you want to know if you suck or not.

Like said above, in objective games, you take hell of alot chances, often you end up dead trying to get to a flag or sum.

so suck? no

Teamwork means staying out of my way.

That is really not true at all. In objective games you usually have two players designated as slayers who's only job is to kill people. So you could play a lot of objective games and have a great K/D. The other two are usually objective guys but they still kill people. That's why when you watch MLG games the guys going for the flag still pull positive ratios. Or the guy that takes the ball usually has a lot of kills too.

yea excatly what they said because when i play odd ball or ctf i normally just go to get the ball or the flag and dont worry about Kills and deaths so it doesnt really matter stats arent everything i beat my friend who has a K/d ratio of like 1.2 and i have a .8 so..

LOL, what? You aren't supposed to kill in objective?

The reason K/D ratio isn't important, is because its all a reflection of who you play. If you consistently only play Team Training, and play with terrible people in customs, your K/D ratio will be high, but when you play with people more at your skill level or better, your K/d ratio drops to 1 or below.

You usually just want a little over 1 or right on 1.

Well, I know my ratio must suck. I'm pretty care-free sometimes. Double Team, no matter how much I try, I just can't get it through my thick head to avoid dying even if the enemy will die with me. It's better to live than to die with your enemy. But that's just Halo psycho-babble. Whatever.

Sharing is caring. Caring sucks. Sharing sucks. Good luck with the new gamertag.

...Yes, that K/D ratio is bad. Mine was almost 2.3 when I played Halo 2. It's not quite 2 yet in Halo 3, though, *tear*

you dodn have the right to call him bad and no one does enless he played with him before k/d ratio and ranks both mean absolutley nothing
they are misled by cheating , unranked , the only real way to know is if u played against him

  • 05.18.2007 7:50 PM PDT

You can run. But you will only die tired.

NOPE

98% of the people who play this game are garbage. If you're one of the 2% who isn't, copy & paste this into your signature.

If you're the 1st or 2nd person on your team and your team is made up of good players than you are good.

Alright, my stats look like this:
Total Kills: 27623
Total Deaths: 28476
Kill/Death Ratio: 0.97
Total Assists: 4294

I've had plenty of games that I will own some peopl in, but then end up with my rank going up, and ever since this 'reset' my rank has a huge effect on my games.. I'll somehow get against people that can shoot me from the side of their gun, walk through bullets, and do other insane things.

So yeah, I don't think the stats alone tell alot about your skill, people would have to play with you to judge you better.
