Yeah, this has nothing to do with Halo.

Okay, my speakers were working fine yesterday. I have some Altec Lansing 2.1 setup...

Tonight for some reason, my left speaker is quieter than the right one. No matter how I tweak the volume, it stays this way. Any idea what happened? And no, I didn't mess with them or my sound drivers at all... so wth happened?

Please help.

on my old computer this would happen with... i think it was the left... speaker. for me what happened was that the cable connected into the subwofer was a little loose. try messing with the cables and you will probably fix your problem.

This is a real pain in the ass I have this problem on my headset, you have to screw around with the wires.

I've had that problem too. And yes, it is the wires.

Something's wrong with my stereo and only the left speaker is working--the right speaker occasionally gives out some sound but then goes silent.

that could be 1 of 2 things (or both but doubt it)
1. you could have a short from the main hub to the left speaker causing it
2. the left speaker connection came loose from the main hub (if your stereo can even become unconnected... if it cant it is the 1st 1)

My speakers give mad loud static when I try to adjust the volume on it. I can never adjust it now, unless I want 20 minutes of none stop static noise.

Beat that.

Oh...and is there a way to fix this^?...xD

Oh yeah? I don't even have speakers.

The sound plays in my head. :)

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I got this kind of problem when dust started building up around the volume knob. Wiggle the wires and adjust the knob is all I can say.

Actually, do you get a balance control in Windows volume control? If so, check to see if they're all centered.

Also make sure there's no interference. My speakers somehow pop everytime a lamp two stories down is turned on/off.
