Assuming you have a Windows PC, cick Start, then Run.... In the bar, type in dxdiag and hit enter.[Edited on 05.19.2007 9:22 AM PDT]

With Vista, it's easier just to go to the start menu and type "dxdiag" into the "Start Search" area. Then just click on the dxdiag icon that shows up.

just because under directx version it says 10 it doesnt mean your graphics card can really put out directx 10 graphics. It just means you have vista and you can run directX 10 if and only if you have the right video card and currently there is only a few cards out there that can
