Halo 3

The Ark:

When i was cruising around some forums during Halo 1's release, there were attempts at predicting the story just like this thread, but in this thread it talked about biblical references.

To make a looong story short, Halo detonating is the 40 days and 40 nights of rain, and the Ark is Noah's Ark that landed on Earth. I believe that each Halo launches many ships to every planet that can sustain life, perhaps the seed of life on each ship is the flood? Since all it needs is a sufficient amount of biomass to exist.

The Forerunners:

I think the forerunners were originally human's, 343 guilty spark keeps calling each human it sees a reclaimer.

Not to mention that forerunner buildings look oddly like human buildings.

The Covenant:

I think that the Arbiter will eventually get certain amounts of covenant to join the humans because at the end of Halo 2, he questions the prophets and the faith.

"Take care Arbiter, what you speak is heresy."

"Is it...?"

As for the rest of the things you guys are talking about, with Cassandra and such, i have no clue on that.

Im agreein w/ Vyeix
but hey im still in search of that wisdom. all i kno is that if HALO 2 was good just think of what they'll do in HALO 3, even if its called that 4 all we know it could be called HALO 2 the ending of the big cliffhanger that pissed off the world.

K, I'm a noob to the site, but I saw this thread, and I agree with the biblical references thing. The Ark must be the Earth, or something on it. The Forerunners could have predict "The Flood" and built the Ark to carry their survivors safely away. Like Noah's Ark.

Then the Forerunner remote detonated the rings "thus rendering The Flood harmless". Their sentinels could clean up the Flood, then the Forerunners could rubuild their civilaization from whatever they put on the Ark.

As for the reclaimers, 343 Guilty Spark dropped another hint in the last level of Halo 1. He mentions his wonder why the MC would destroy the Pillar of Autumn and all the information. He mentioned something about catching up on lost time. Also, Guilty Spark seems to be surprised an how much the Humans don't know about the Rings and the Forerunner.

Also there are seven rings. Wasn't the universe supposed to have been created in seven days and seven nights?

thats right Moose, you're on the right track hehe.

Except i was thinking that each halo deployed millions of arks to all planets that could sustain life. Each ship could have carried something that resembles a seed of life [two of every animal]

And yea, thats also true, the whole seven days and seven nights thing is also possible evidence.

I know he was called John from the books, but where was that in Halo 1?

Maybe that's where the Covenant came from?

And Bungie has a history of putting Biblical references in their games' plots...at least as far as I know.

The tentacle thing has to be connected with the flood.
Sent MC and Arbiter to find index to stop activation of ring (Killing it food source)
Sent MC to be distraction at Covanent city.

One question though, why does Cortana agree to answer questions from that "thing"

I agree with whomever said that people from earth were reclaimers because 343 guilty spark called MC and Key's Daughter reclaimers (Being both human)

And wouldn't the guilty spark and the red one make a good couple. I think they made the other one red because of the Red vs. Blue shorts. Any comments about this??

MC could've been sent to stop remote activation.
And when MC is in the Covie city, Cortana says something about the tentacle thing betraying them or something.

And there was a third reclaimer. In the Library level of Halo 1, you pass the body of another "Reclaimer", also human, who failed.

Something about a possible Halo 3 plot: the ship you land on Delta Halo in is the ONLY ship that came with you. The fact flood start arriving in at the Covenant city in human ships is not a good sign. And the Covenant aren't supposed to have attacked the humans after Regret. At the end, you see the Earth besieged, but you never actually see the Covenant attacking. I think the Flood got off the Halos...

i saw somewhere, possibly even this thread, that something on Earth "blows us away".

I think the writer of that statement meant it more literally than figuratively, but I'm not too sure about something blowing us away.

And hey, perhaps the Covenant join the humans to destroy the flood without having to activate the halo's. Remember that the forerunner exausted all other strategic possibility first, suggesting strategic possibilities to eliminate the flood other ways.

I don't know.. perhaps the tenticle thing? Maybe he is even a way to "record" all that was known by the forerunners. Remember that the forerunners had to eliminate themselves and everything within 3 galactic radii, maybe the tenticle thing was an alternative way of keeping records.

Perhaps also, if there is a way to beat the tentacle thing all the flood die.
maybe it's the "mother of the flood"

My theory is the Ark is Earth, and that the forerunners built in some sort of shielding system to protect it from the halos. Also, all humans on earth are the descendents of the forerunners trying to escape the destruction of all life by the halos.

Yes, there are secret easter eggs. The big easter egg is a multiplayer level called foundation, which is based on a level from Marathon. Also, there are 8 hidden skulls in the game, each having a different effect on the game when found.

I think that the skulls only effect single player. Wierd effects such as invisibility in campaign mode or invisible enemies.

The Weird Tentacle thing is called Gravemind and it is the "consciousness of the flood". so then it is possible to see why it would want to stop the halos from activating. The Halo your on in the game is installation 4, the one from halo 1 is installation 6.

i believe the that alpha beta delta gamma and the other 2 are the names of the halos.

Master chiefs name is John so people can stop worryin about it.

Gravemind is either co-operating with Cortana or gonna try to convince her into doin something.

There will be an Elites will truce with the humans for now at least...If they wouldnt why the hell didnt arbiter kick the -blam!- out of Johnson?????????

Elites Grunts and Hunters will be on Human side.

Bible comes into play...Covenant view Forerunners as Gods...Forerunners made the FLOOD
Our God made a FLOOD
Noah survived by the ARK
Most likely some Forerunners survived by the ARK.
I highly doubt the SPARTANS will be in any of the halo games.
Anyone remember when that ship jumped to slipspacein New Mombasa??? I think it uncovered the controls to activate the Halos...if it didnt the controls are in the pyramids.

EASY AS THAT

NOW THANKS TO BUNGIE WE JUST EITHER HAVE TO WAIT 3 MONTHS OR 3 YEARS

"Brute: Jiralhanae
Drone: Yanme'e
Elite: Sangheili
Engineer: Huragok
Grunt: Unggoy
Hunter: Lekgolo
Jackal: Kig-yar
Prophet: Prophet"

these are the names that the Covenant call themselves not the Humans, the regular Halo 2 doesnt list these names, however the Strategy Guide (Cheat Book) lists these names under "Covenant Name"

I too agree that "Feb. 9th" date has something to do with Halo 2 or something like that

It would be awesome if the Elite/Grunt/Hunter Alliance joins up with the Humans, but that takes away 3 races from the Covenant (which I LOVE to kill) and you probably would have to kill Brutes and Jackals and anyother race in the Next Halo game. Only Time will Tell...

if uve read the books then u know on MC return to earth from the first halo he stops at reach and obtains the remaining spartans, and isnt coral the place where they had the mission when they were kids in training, it said something bout how they had a mission underwater w/ only half filled airtanks, the stole CPO Mendez's air and camped out on some island, complete calimari. im not sure what planet that was but it happened

dont know if anyone has thought of this or hashed it out but perhaps the forerunners are HUMAN. they could have built the rings and activated them from a safe spot (earth). now this theory woudl require earth to be in the exact center of the group of rings insuring that it was just out of reach to their overlapping balst radius. it would explain why the prophets want to destroy the humans rather than use them, and why guilty spark 343 mistook MC for a forerunner reclaimer. though thats speculation from the games since i have not read the books so i have no info from there. it is my thought though that the venus flytrap is the flood mind, up till now though they are reffered to as intelligent we havent seen any "verbal" evidence of that, sure they utilize weapons and such, but you never see them communicating in any discernable way. anyway i see foresee the elites, grunts and hunters taking their allegence to the humans as others have said before with the jackals remaining true to the brutes who i think just might turn on the prophets for their own gain. thats my take anyway, guesse we'll see when #3 comes out... good show
