I disagree from what ive herd and seen its a pretty good port just flawed like all ports are doomed to be anyways.

Not as low as they ought to be. I mean, come on, how old is the Xbox system that they're porting this game from? Why do they choose to lock out a lot of people by using high system requirements as the bar of entry?

I'm disappointed. Maybe it has something to do with Live for Windows, maybe not. I don't see why the requirements need to be so high for a three year old game on a five year old system.

All the new features better make up for it.

Here's why: In the XBOX, their engine used a trick in which objects far away were rendered with an increasingly lower polygon count as you get further away from them. In the PC version, The removed this feature from the engine, allowing all objects to retain their full polygon count, even from a large distance.

I'm on the border of running it on full resolution with 4xAA on medium. Or small resolution and no AA on high. Choose for me because I have yet to see the game (and based on amazon's shipping I won't till next week <.<)

Med, High Res with AA. It will be XBOX 360 quality but with nativly rendered High-Res.

GAaaayyyy

EDIT:

Second opinion anyone?????

LMAO, don't worry about it. You will be able to run everything on Max with 1900x1200 Res (If supported by your config).

Your Geforce 6150 Won't give you good performance. It has the quality, but it's just not that fast.

Nope, sorry man. You may be able to run the game, but the performace will be so bad, that it really isn't worth it at all.

My computer that I'm going to be playing it on (for now):
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (OC'ED TO A 3200+)
ASUS A7V8X-X MOTHERBOARD
1024 MB of CORSAIR TWINX RAM
BFG GeForce 6600+ GT OC
2 x 80 GB HD (ONE XP, OTHER VISTA)

My game runs kinda bad at times, that being said, I also have a lot of unused services on my computer shut off.

Some are. Yours definately is. You cannot replace the the motherboard in a laptop mainly due to the fact that you cannot buy spare ones anywhere.

I recommend buying a new laptop. Be sure to check out the higher end models. Those acctually have removable\replacable graphics modules, so they can be upgraded.

Sorry man, you're outta luck then. Refund perhaps? Or try to sell it for a better one? Or perhaps get a desktop as they are cheaper?

Hired Gun, hands down. Far more professional presentation. I can deal with the lack of Options and sky-high requirements.

No, it will run, but you will be limited to Low settings, Lowest res, and still receive a very large amount of lag spikes and just lag all around. Is it worth it? Well, I played Halo 1 on a laptop with an average of 10 FPS when it first came out. It wasn't that bad...

Thats actually a really good question. I'd actually say Hired Gun, Since They had like 8-10 people working on it. And from what I've seen. It's a good looking game, just performs badly.

I donno about professionalism... Half of the menu items in the menus have stupid text: (Anti-Aliasing - The epic battle between Performance and Jaggies, Level of Detail - High will make things look prettier but will have lower performance.) They go something like that.

Stupid text for Stupid people LOL. Not everyone knows what Anti-Aliasing is. H2V was probably the first PC game I have seen that acctually explains what it is. :/
