http://fsclan.net/cyberslam/ShauningtoN/updateftw.jpgThe update took a while to download, so it must've been quite a hefty update. When it finished, the game closed and a Halo 2 for Windows Vista MSI installer came up, then copied some DLL files and I briefly saw an 'english.something' fileThats about as desvriptive as I can be.Running the game now, looks and feels no different. be interesting to know what exactly they changed...EDIT: Sh1t.http://fsclan.net/cyberslam/ShauningtoN/lol.....jpg[Edited on 05.22.2007 2:46 AM PDT]
There should be an update readme.txt or something.
lol took me about 2 seconds to get it but only thing is now i can't play online cause servers say im running a diff version lol thats the difference lol
If we're lucky then this may have fixed the weapon exploits. For the moment that's the only thing I could think of. Sure things like BXB and quad-shotting may have been in the skill area for the Xbox, but on the PC it's just too easy to macro.

Nope, button glitches still exist.Just did one then in my own server, cant be that. and there is no 'update.txt'

I could probably fix BXR and BXB. Is there a link that fully explains the bugs, as well as gives the amount of seconds between each shot fired by the BR?
Played a few games post update....No differences noticed. Weapon glitches = still there, UI feels the same, no new visible features. Ahwell, guess we wont know untill they release a changelist?-shaun
They're probably trying to get the versions of Halo 2 that have the bad installers to be compatible with the ones with the fixed "tray and play" (if that makes any sense).
The update is probably for the "first run" of games (the ones that shipped before the May 8 delay) to make the changes to the tray and play feature that are in the "second run".
yep it was a quick update for me, have not tried playing yet but probably cant cause like other ppl servers are not up to date
i can't download it why?Can anyone post the update please?
Update went fine for me as well and it looks like they took all the dedicated servers down to update them as well. Because all the "Halo2 DServer #" are gone from my browsing list.I think maybe the update was to bring early copies of the game up to date with the copies that will be released later this month. Since they changed the installer around a bit maybe that was enough to chaneg the version #. I doubt there's really any gameplay fixes in this update.[Edited on 05.22.2007 9:09 AM PDT]
xploreredfusion -see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937379/en-us for some ideas. Another thing to try - if you have multiple network adapters (or other hardware that acts as a network adapter), try going into the network control panel and disabling all of them except the one that actually connects to the internet.[Edited on 05.22.2007 12:40 PM PDT]

Oh noes! The day has finally come where the halo 2 vista servers are accedentally trying to connect to halo 2 xbox custom games!!! Lets all jump of a cliff! Oh yeah, don't take me seriously as I know most of you like to do.
