I just hope that halo 2 in not filled with the F@#%! word or other vulgar words. those words weren't found in halo 1 and the dialogues were still good. It's not as much of my concern, but i have little brothers that are going to play too and i don;t want them or my parents to bet mad or hearing those words im the house you know.

Bungie pride on the fact that they only use words that can be heard in prime time

There was a little bit of swearing, but nothing that they bleep out on day-time television. Like the part in the first level where Cortana calls the Covenant "bastards."

Or " guess the brass do give a -blam!- " in last year's E3 demo. Also read the update, there was mention of the hard word for "fudge" in the game as well. But swearing isn't that big of an issue and it adds to the overall badass atmosphere of the game.

So there is little -blam!- language Im sure your -blam!- parents wont care as for your -blam!- brothers it's good for kids to here the word -blam!- every once in a -blam!- while. blam = f word

There should be an option where you can -blam!- out evey word in the game! Like have an options where you can take out all the bad words! And everytime one of the men are going to cuss, they will just say -blam!-! That would be funny

Just say blam? Lets see.

Holy -blam-!

Nah. Keep what they are going to say unless it is a really bad word. Like $hit and F***

Dude!, Its rated Mature, your little bro shouldnt be playing it anyway!
They can say F U C K all they want, theyre marines, and if youre life is on the line, you should at least be able to swear your a s s off!
Your parents are irresponsible, the warning is there for a reason, have them read it! Show them the game, they should be informed, that this game has really realistic blood, gore, death, cursing, and stuff your little kid shouldnt see, they dont understand. We should fire everyone at ESRB, cause i dont even know if thats what theyre called. They should make sure every body knows, when you buy that game for your kid they should have a pamphlet for each game, that every clerk reads to you before you buy it, saying this game is bad, it wont teach your kid good things, he might be frightened by this game, he might learn new words, that you dont want him to hear, he might not value a human life too much, after this game.

This contains serious things, Im not saying they shouldnt be there, but it takes these things and makes them into a Game. Thats all they will think serious things such as killing are nothing more than a game. That should not happen.

Who here agrees?

Im gonna make a big deal about this, and send an e-mail to that one place.

Ash55 is right. Even though Bungie know that a HUGE percentage of their players are older they still know that younger persons play Halo. Probably just have prime time words on, which in my view won't spoil the game one bit.

It's rated M for MATURE people. Geez, I don't know how many times I've had to tell that to someone! I mean, you join a Halo PC game and it's "Don't use swear words or I'll boot!". Then I say "DILLIGAF?!?!?" Halo 2 can cuss as much as it want's to, because any kid whose parents lets him play Halo 2 or Halo probably hears cussing all the time.

you know, Halo 1 was actually rated Teen when it first came out, but then they got some complaints so they rated it Mature

I think they should put them in the game because it just makes it more realistic, also if your parents are children concious whall they should know what rated M means to begin with

Exactly. Like, in the middle of a battle for earth and facing a plasma rifle pointed at his head do you think a marine is going to say "You motherfudger!" ?
I mean cmon people

i dont agree with empty shadows at all, it is the parents responsibility to watch what their kids are playing. clerks at stores shouldnt be responsible for informing every parent about what is in a game, the parents should take some initiative and research them themselves if they are so against it. and the idea that violent video games and movies etc. cause school shootings and desensitise kids is just ignorant. i have been playing violent games and watching violent movies and listening to violent music for years and i have never thought about killing anyone and im not desensitised to violence. america is too uptight anyways, they are just words people, they have no meaning unless you assign them it. and video game violence is fake, its not real, video games arent like real life at all, parents need to teach their kids that if they think they will have a negative effect on them. well i think im done ranting, i probably left something out or went off topic but whatever. i work in a video game store and see stupid parents like that all the time. annoys me is all.

No, the F word is never used in the game despite how much you may believe it, or think you have heard it, bungie posted a list of all the "bad" words used in halo like 2-3 months ago.

If you have "little" brothers who'll be playing Halo 2, which is likely (as Halo was) to be rated Mature, for those 17 and older, what are you worried about?
I'd be more worried about your parents apparently not caring what games you play.
I'm not trying to be rude, but really, if you don't want your parents to be mad, maybe you should tell them that Halo 2 isn't supposed to be sold to/played by kids under 17.
Or just let them read the rating on the box.

Bungie thought Halo was going to be rated Teen, so they took out a lot of dialogue. Up til then, there was a whole database of Marines cursing. Halo 2 was Mature from the start. Halo 2 will have tons of cursing. I'm lazy, look up the sources yaself.
But "...guess the brass do give a..."
and perez' well-timed "cuno" (squiggly mark over the n makes it kun-yo)
should be clues for you.
End of story.

i agree with Empty Shadows - its rated M, for mature, for a reason. anyway, your brothers are probably exposed to vulgar language and everything else on cable these days - oh, and networks (Superbowl halftime show...).
