Subject: Will my 1.86Ghz processor run H2

I bought a laptop that meets the system requirements for H2 Vista, except that my computer has a 1.86Ghz Intel Core Duo processor. Will the game still run?

I have a 1.86 Ghz AMD processor, but other people said it wouldn't run it. I think it may just be my graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150). It makes me mad that I can't run a game that ran fine on the xbox 1 which has less power than my computer.

Sorry to say. Speed wise. The Xbox is faster then your video card. Plus it's running at 640x480.

If you run an xbox emulator on your PC, it will play Halo 2 perfectly (well, at a lower frame rate, but it will run much smoother than the PC version). The truth is, the engine for the PC version has had some major changes that require far more powerful hardware.

Well, a dual core at 1.86 per core is pretty good. Depending on your video card and RAM, you should be able to run it fairly well.

well Microsoft says that H2V at low is suppose to have the exact same graphics as the Xbox version.

hate to burst your bubble but the map editor is crap. most of the features are locked and it tells you to go buy a 3k$ program or something like that

and also coolmaster912, a dual core processor is very powerful. the speed my look low but it is basically 2 processors in 1 so in essence you are running a processor @ 3.72 ghz... but in reality that isnt how it works but you get the idea

It's actually not like that, it's like running two processors at 1.9 GHz.

i know, but the person that posted it didn't understand the concept of dual core so i was trying to put it is basic basic basic terms so it will make sense. i know pretty well how it works though.

And lets not forget that you're running an OS that takes 500mb of RAM whilst it runs in the background.
