Tonight I was wondering how long I have been a member of the Bungie community, and it says memeber since...11/5/06. This cannot be correct. I linked it almost as soon as I started playing Halo 2. Any ideas why it would be wrong. I can't even remember coming on here back in November...I kind of stopped playing Halo 2 when I got my 360 back in 12/05.

Thank you.

No clue really, maybe a bug in the system. Don't fret it though. Member since date doesn't mean much. I've been a member since 2004, yet I had to create a new name to connect it to windows live and XBL, so my member since date is this year. I don't worry though.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Do you have an alternate account? Maybe you started logging into the wrong account. Maybe you did start playing Halo 2 Nov. 5 2006. Time flies you know.

My member since date is also wrong. I've been a member since before Halo 2 came out, but it now shows me as being a member since 1/23/2007.
I think it got mixed up after they updated their website sometime in 2006.

Well, you all have ID#s in the 2,000,000+ range, meaning you probably did join recently. Either your previous account was deleted and you made a new one with the same name, or something imploded and affected a minute percentage of the members.

No, your member since dates are correct. As Captain K Mart pointed out, your user IDs identify you as accounts created in the timeframes that your member since dates specificy.

I'm betting you had an account, didn't log in for a while, and the system deleted it (it used to do this after 180 days of inactivity, now it waits a year). When you came back, you got a screen that asked you to re-create an account, and you were lucky in that no one had taken your previous name. You may have the same name as before, but you don't have the same account (indeed, if you looked for your oldest posts, you'd probably find them to be written by "Anonymous User (Deleted)".

Interesting. I had no idea previously used names are now up for grabs. I assume there is a system in place to filter out names such as Old moderators who don't come around anymore and such?

I joined in April '05. My Join date was reset when I linked my account that July though.

That is weird. Unless you did join in 2006. Maybe it is right, and you just think it is wrong.

"Linked you account?"

What linking? Linking doesn't occur here. It occurs on Xbox.com or on your Xbox 360, and your Windows Live ID. When you do that, it just suddenly shows up here. If you came here after linking your gamertag, and were asked to type in a name and some profile info, you weren't linking your account, you were creating you bungie.net account and setting your Windows Live ID as the key to access it.
