What is the overall point of the Assist? I know that it has to do with taking down someone's shields, then a teammate finishes the kill. Does it count towards MVP? or could you at least put a medal for 5 or 10? Couldn't that help emphasize more team play?

why is "Last Resort" not in the beta... ive seen the leaked footage, and it looked almost finished.
and even if it would of taken an exta week or 2 to finish, it would have been well worth it...

Why does the sniper dictate the maps so much more so than it did in 2? I think it's partly because there is often only 1 sniper and the game becomes lop-sided.

I couldn't agree more on taking away the push to talk to your team. We need to promote team work. It's what makes Halo fun. Please, PLEASE change it so it defaults talking to your team.

I have a plethora of questions, Luke:

-Why the change in design for the Banshee? The entire feel of it is radically different and the aim is not as low as Halo 2. It seems like all that was good with the H2 Banshee has been removed in Halo 3, making it the most "clumsy" vehicle in the game.

-Why is there no rumble for the bullet/explosion/impact that kills you? This design choice fells akward, to say the least. There's also no Rumble for when you get stuck or when you get run over. Why is that?

-The melee system is unbalanced in instances where two people melee eachother at the same time. Sometimes it'll show my melee animation, yet I'll still get beat down and they won't get hurt at all. Is this a connection issue or is it something that can be fixable in the final game?

-Perhaps the most discussed issue with the Beta is the graphics. How large of a difference can we expect when the game releases on September 25?

-The HUD transparency is among one of the top visual dislikes of the Beta. Can we expect tweaks to the HUD, and perhaps settings to make it less or more transparent based on our own preferences?

-What happened to the Lens Flare when we look at the sun? There's absolutely no reaction to the sun in our visor. Can we expect next-gen lens flare when the game releases?

-Based on a screen from IGN (dated April 30), the higher planet in the background of Snowbound has something that looks like a colony. However, in the Halo 3 Public Beta, there aren't any lights on either of the two planets. From what build of Halo 3 was this screen taken from, as it is evidently not the Public Beta build?

-With the beta weighing in at 911MB, can we expect another map or two to be "hidden" like the Banshee? To justify this thinking, for 230MB, you can download four Gears of War maps. For almost 4x the space, it would seem like the beta is hiding a snack. Also, the Internal Beta has more maps and more equipment. Any comments on this speculation?

-What's wrong with the MVP system? In a game where I was #1 on my team and had a +24 K/D Split and killed the VIP 3 times, someone on the losing team had a -8 K/D split and killed the VIP 2 or 3 times, and they got the MVP? Obviously, something is wrong, so what's up?

-How impactful was the beta on the development of Halo 3? In the end, will its inclusion result in the saving of time or the loss of time? If so, how much?

-What was the decision to go with a 70 degree viewing angle (at least in SD, based on my experience) rather than the expected 90 degree?

-In the Public Beta, in the "Service Record," there is a blank, darkened-out space for a Spartan. In the final game, can we expect to see the Spartan we created occupy that space, rather than the shadow?

-The "Service Record" is a relatively uninteractive menu in the Public Menu. When the game releases, can we expect more interactivity, something along the lines of a built-in microclip around 5 seconds long, or perhaps a micro-menu that will show how many of each type of medal we've earned in our Halo 3 career, along the lines of how the medals are displayed in the in-game Postgame Carnage Report?

- Based on "leaked" screens from a glitch in the Public Beta, it appears that the Custom Games Lobby is accessible with plenty of features. With that being known, is it possible that Custom Games may be accessible in the latter days of the Beta?

-Finally, can we expect a Jar Jar to go along with Jub Jub?

This only happened once, but I think it might happen to others. In a saved game of 1 Bomb on Valhala after I armed the bomb I died from the explosion. When the next round started, my film showed my guest's HUD on both screens. Has this happened to any of you?

besides for sitting, why are there seats inside the spherical pods found underneath each base in snowbound? And could the snow be seen as purity towards which the individuals placed in the seat are headed, or 'bound,' for? perhaps a virtual heaven?

I kill for fun

Some things that have truly perplexed me are the damage ratios or what not. Example= I empty most of a AR clip into a guy with very little return fire it seems, toss a grenade at his feet, sense that Im about to die from cumulative team fire, toss another grenade just before I die at his feet, I die, he walks away, whaaaaat? Is this a whole new balance scheme to the game, if so, Id like to hear it. Also, on Snowbound I had the Covenant Sniper shooting at a guy on the other side of a energy wall, I fired and went down, it said suicide, so you can snipe yourself this way, cool I guess for realism if not just a crazy glitch. However I also got a suicide while simply firing the assault rifle, any ideas?

What drove the design changes to the needler?
-Making it non-dualwieldable.
-Strength, Fire rate, Needle travel rate, ect.

And, Will these design choices most likely be in the final build?

Thank you, thank you, thank you Bungie, for making me a sniper again! Halo 2 made every single player a sniper, and now it's actually a difficult weapon to master--like an FPS sniper rifle SHOULD be. Thanks again....unless you change it for the final game. In that case, u r teh sukxorz.

Anyhow, what exactly prompted you to make the sniper rifle more like the halo 1 version? I probably shouldn't be looking this gift horse in the mouth, but I am kind of curious.

Hey, what's the deal with the fuses on plasma grenades vs frags? When I drop a frag into a mancannon (giggle), it detonates up in the air. But when I drop a plasma 'nade in, I never see it explode? Care to give us an explanation of their fuse times and triggers?

What is with the MVP award? It seems that during team games, the MVP is always on the loosing team. What is the criteria for choosing MVP? Also, is there an explination of the ranking system somewhere? I am not able to determine how one progresses through the ranks. Thanks. Mr. Tightywhitey

Why can't we "redeploy" turrets? I understand there is an ammo issue with that but just have so that once the turret is moved, it has limited ammo. Also, why bother keeping the SMG? And i'm sure you've had millions of these but, where's the pistol ans sword?

Can you please make ALL grenades more powerfull because if no-one has noticed yet (but you probably/ hopefuly have) they're just too weak. I mean you shoot at someone and seriously injur them but you need to reload so you throw a grenade thinking that it will finish them off, it goes the slightest bit to one side and doesn't touch them, noticing this you also notice that you haven't reloaded yet and whilst you reload they manage to gun you down or get a lucky throw with a plasma or brute grenade and stick you with it. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT PLEASE!!!!!
