Wassup!!

My favorite new feature in Halo 3 is the Saved Films. I save almost all of my games and I often search my Recent Players list to see if anyone else has posted films. I learn a lot from watching my old games (about how much I suck) and I learn from watching other peoples strategies. My question is what is the plan for this feature in the final version of the game? If I save a game that I played, can I watch it from other peoples perspectives? Can I watch it from a 3rd person view? Can I control the camera to look around? Can I rewind, fast forward, or edit my video?

Will there be an option to export our Halo 3 emblem so that we can use it as our Xbox 360 gamerpic? Also, is there any chance that Bungie will unlock custom games in last days of the Beta? Thanks!

Though this is the beta and far from the finished product, can we expect any major changes to the current network code? I feel its harder to judge who has host now (thats a good thing) so can we expect even more improvements?

Since its strictly Beta related questions: How many lines of engine code was in the Beta at the time of the launch and what was the total asset size for Beta?

I wanted to ask about the new cinematic tools Joe and Co get to abuse, but I didn't see that even getting acknowledged ;p

I tried to do a quick scan of what others have asked, so if this is a repeat...sorry.

Will there be any controls features added to the final ver. that were not in the Halo3 beta? If so, what will the new controls be? For example, the ability to swap equipment MC is holding with equipment laying on the ground.

In regards to "data"; What aspect of it is the Bungie team most of implementing into Halo3.

Is there a final count on how many levels are going to be released with the final ver.? If so how many? Lastly, are there any returning levels that were in Halo1 or Halo2?

The Trip Mine... GREAT ... AWESOME ... Just one thing I don't think is fair.

When playing a game and setting the mine a friendly can walk over it and it is considered a betrayal.
The problem with that is what I have experienced...you have a friendly who loves to kill themselves and ruin the game so they use your trip mine to kill themselves enough that they can boot you from the game when you had nothing to do with it. Not only booting you out of the middle of a game but it will lower your status.
Is there anyway the trip mine betrayal can be changed to a killed by the guardians?? Considering 9 out of 10 times the betrayal was done intensionally by the other party. Everyone knows when they see the blinking light or hear the beeping to stay away at all costs.

I am sure I am not the only person with this problem.

1) Why did you opt for putting the lunge back into Halo 3 when it had some problems in Halo 2 (i.e. coming up short, going past the person, not going up slopes)? Why didn't you use the stationary melee from Halo 1?

2)Why doesn't the Hog always explode when I hit it dead on with the laser? Is this lag?

3) Why doesn't the Bubble shield always show up when you pop it? It still works, and you can't shoot in or out, but the honeycomb graphics are missing. Is this just a programming error?

4) Why can't the VIP use certain vehicles/weapons? Would this just be to powerful?

5) Where is the Gauss Hog? It owns the normal Hog! Will it be in the final game?

6) Why is the Hog so gosh-darn indestructible? It is so heavy it doesn't flilp with 'nades easily, and it can take way too many missiles from the Missile Pod. If the other team controls the laser, it is over! Why did you choose to make the Hog so powerful (Valhalla should be called Gultch Wars - Tracking Rockets)?

Halo 3 Legendary (Co-op and Solo) complete, I guess its time to get Forging.

Communication:

I love proximity speech where both sides can hear if you are close enough...makes sense. As long as you don't think of the helmet as being sound-tight.

So why the choice to go with an "open-communication" button as opposed to just free speech. Where the channel is always open to team mates, but proximity is still aslo present?

If no one is there to see a projectile take a single path, does the simple fact of not viewing the projectile make it take infinite paths of probability, thus creating a super weapon?

When the new control scheme was originally announced, there were several soothing words accompanying it, saying things relating to there being a lot of different options to choose from, including default. I've got to say that I haven't seen anything except for the old control schemes adapted to the new reload design. Where are the options that were mentioned? I know that at the very least I was holding my tongue about the new control scheme in the hopes that there would be at least one option which validates the new shoulder buttons and lets us utilize them (in conjunction with the thumbsticks) to utilize all three of the "golden three" while targeting. Yet, if I want to target while meleeing I still have to sacrifice another one of the vital 3 (weapons, nades, and melee) This is the most anticipated next gen title yet, what gives?

I've had a great time with the Beta and purchasing Crackdown was worth every penny to play it. (I would not have bought that game otherwise!)

I was curious why you don't respawn with a dual wieldable secondary weapon. Since you have to pick up two weapons, although they are located near each other, in many cases you die in rumble pit prior to picking up the second weapon. I typically use larger weapons beacuse of grenades and it's easier to melee but it would keep dual weilding from becoming a thing of the past.

Will the downloadable levels be available for local play after the Beta ends on June 10th?

Why can't you join with a group of friends in Rumble Pit?

Will people be able to join you while you are watching films? Will it just buffer the video for them? For all those asking about RP, 1 win in ranked or unranked = 1 RP. If you lose your RP stays at the same but I think (not 100% sure) that if you quit out you lose RP. Oh and Thank you bungie for making Halo require at least some amount of skill in shooting now :)

Question : Is there any work going to be done with the spawns?


- My reason for the question is this... There are several times when I have been playing and someone spawns literally right behind me. This has happened in team slayer and in team skirmish (most recent memory was a territories game where someone spawned behind me as I was taking a territory).

Seems a bit off with some of the spawns. I have had people spawn right behind me a bunch of times and it is a little bit... disheartening. :P

Edit: I'm not talking like even 5 feet behind me. In some cases someone was within assassination distance from me when he spawned.

Why did you change the kill-medals around? Namely overkill for 4 kills and then killtacular, and killing frenzy for 10 kills in a row before running riot.

What is the criteria for determining the MVP?

Was the motion tracker range reduced and if so why?

Why does sticking a VIP not kill him? It used to be that sticking someone was a guaranteed kill, overshield or not. Actually, the times that I'm thinking of were with a Brute grenade: is it just that one that doesn't get the job done? If so, why?

Why are there slayer games on Team Skirmish?

Why the huge wall on the hills on King of the Hill? It's pretty much impossible to see out of in a dark area, such as in the bunker on High Ground or the central cave in Snowbound.

Are there going to be more cusomization options in the future regarding armor coloring? The picture on the menu seems to suggest it (the helmet looks like its a different color from the body).

Can we get some tankish action on Valhalla and/or High Ground?

Is it the record of what my box "saw" during the game, or the definitive host record of what happened? For example, are lag-induced glitches saved in the film, or is odd behavior in the saved film proof of modified content?
