Over the last week, the Beta forums have had an abundance of complaints with regard to the following:

1. The Warthog is a little too powerful.
2. The Grenades in general do not pack enough punch.
3. Your shield takes a little longer to recharge.
4. The new Banshee doesn't seem to travel at a downward ark like it use to, making it almost useless for an anti-infantry role.
5. And of course, the horrid D-pad to talk feature.

Are there any current plans to revise the properties of these minor issues? They are minor, but when added together they equal a major amount of stress in combat.

Why can't we use N64 as a service tag in halo 3?

BTW, pushing the dpad to speak is horrible. games are so quiet.

Ok I know it won't happen but I want to ask you doods and doodets at bungie if you think it would be teh coolness.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could see a slight reflection of your self on the inside of the visor from the xbox live vision camera in MP. Obviously would be pointless in the campaign since your playing as MC but in MP your you so it would be teh coolness. I thought of it while playing Pinball FX. They have the reflection of the room and you on the pinball.

EDIT: Also not really beta related but I was wondering if you guys noticed that in crackdown the stunt markers look almost exactly like a 3D representation of a map of a halo installation.

In the final game, will we be able to glitch out of the map like we could do in Halo 2?
It made customs games alot more fun and more interesting. We love exploring maps, to the edge of it, it was so much fun.
PLEASE DONT put up invisible walls, we LOVE the freedom.

Is Bungie using the Beta solely for net code information gathering, or will player inputs about levels/weapon balance be taken into account for tweaking the final release?

Normal, but swap melee to RB and change grenade/action to the B button?"


Or... just give us an advanced option that let's us customize the button layout as we see fit, thus accomodating all preferences!

What, me worry?

It seems to me that it takes too long to get to the post-game carnage report at the conclusion of a game. Is this a beta thing or is this what we can expect once the game is final?

Why does it seem that members from the opposite team sometimes spawn behind me?

Is the radar functioning properly? It seems that sometimes an opponent will magically appear near me but they didn't appear on the radar (and they were not crouching or wearing active camo).

Why is the trip mine so easy to see? It seems to me that it should be difficult to see.

I know its a little bit to early to be talking about delevelers...but I think that it would be a great idea if the first time a deleveler kills himself he gets a 15 second penalty then the second time 30 seconds, third time 1 minute, 4th time 2 minutes...so pretty much he/she will have to wait several minutes before they can kill themselves again. I think that this would be a great way to eliminate delevelers for good.

bungie has proven that a bunch of monkeys sitting in front of keyboards can randomly type out a masterpiece. the thing is, when you go to play the masterpiece, you cant help but notice all the monkey s**t smeared all over it.

it gets real old having to wait months for someone like mlg to clean off all the monkey poo.

in halo 3 can my dual wielded weapon get stuck(unlike in halo 2)? and if so, can i throw it at the enemy like you can throw your dual wielded weapon in halo 2?

are the final graphics of the game going to be like the announcement trailer
in one of the vidocs a member of bungie said the announcement trailer was the bar for halo3's graphics
however the graphics are allready better than halo2
but the mastercheif in the announcement trailer looks alot better than the beta

I Love objective play, but Halo 3 Beta has let me down I feel.

There is a large amount of Slayer in BTB Training and Skirmish. Where are objective games like:

1 Bomb on High Ground
2 Flag CTF (Multi or classic) on Snowbound
Shotgun CTF Snowbound
Multi Flag Valhalla (I've still not seen it! despite Veto'ing every first game with my party!)

Also, how comes the objective item is now 1 Hit Kill? I find that as a change in the skill lvl needed, before Jump melee's were hard to pull off. The flag/ball/bomb carrier should be vulnerable and disadvantaged, encouraging the attacking team to work harder as they are now 3v4. In the Halo 3 Beta, the objective carrier becomes super powerful in small spaces (Shield Doors Snowbound, Bunker HighGround, Inside the base Valhalla).

In King of the Hill games, how comes the look of the new king is practically a solid wall. It's impossible to see through in dark areas, and very hard to see through in light areas. turning up my brightness has had no effect, and being in the hill it's hard to look out, and outside the hill the only tactic is to charge the hill repeatedly creating a frenzy rather than a controlled organised team game, resulting in whoever charges and sprays most the winner. Is the wall of the Hill a place holder and set to change?

Finally, why is King of the Hill and Oddball only 100sec to win. That score is far to low, the game is over within 3minutes. It's frustrating to spawn at the Defenders base on High Ground when the hill is on the beach to waste 20-30 seconds of time (about a quarter of the time needed to win) running to reach the hill, then to get decent weapons and assault it takes longer. Is there any chance the score time will increase? Maybe 200sec (just over 3min) or 300sec (5min?)

P.s. Where is the announcer!?

What was in the internal beta that isn't in the public beta? From leaked videos, I noticed the sword, a dual wieldable pistol that looked similar to Halo: CE's but not as powerful, and two other maps...and another equipment. Was there anything else? Will we be seeing the sword or pistol before the beta ends?

And when I press "X" to change the options to prefer good connection, I see a picture of a Spartan firing a missile pod at a Wraith. Will we see tanks by the end of the beta?

-how much will the graphics be changed from the beta to the final version? what are we missing?

-what percentage of the features (weapons, vehicles, equipment) are we seeing here? most, or only some

-could you describe in detail the options you have for the saved films in the final release (as of now)

-by doing the "custom lobby glitch", i saw that there are 3 kinds of camo: poor camo, good camo, and invisible. invisible is self explanatory, but i ask which one is the one we have been able to see so far? poor camo or good camo? im going to guess poor camo.

- you can no longer dive in the banshee. i hope you change that as of the final release. will you?

From what I understand 1 win = 1 RP and you don't lose RP for losing a match


I've lost RP from losing matches, but yes 1 RP from winning in teams and coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Rumble pit
