I can't help but laugh. That which I predicted is starting...
PC Gamer Magazine. A 6.6 out of 10. "Halo 2, you see, isn't truly awful, it's just achingly, repulsively mediocre, with a galumphing, clumsy story, poorly orchestrated action and bad music. It lacks bombast to the point where the nuclear destruction of a city on Earth doesn't seem all that dramatic."
Gameshark. B-. "Run-of-the-mill shooter."
Snackbar Games. Reviewer rating: Strictly Rental. Community Rating: Awful.
Gamedaily.com 7 out of 10. "Better than before, but it's not good enough to upgrade."
GamingNexus 8 out of 10. Not bad, but the review doesn't fit the rating. "you really aren't missing that much with the PC version"
Yahoo Games. 8 out of 10. "But all the philosophizing in the world isn't going to change the fact that it's a port of a three-year-old game that we've all played to death, and try as we might, we just can't get excited about that."
Metacritic. 75% of critics generally favorable. Users: 5.0 out of 10. "Christ on a bike, though, it's ugly. I mean like school bus traffic accident ugly. (PC Format)"
That's all I can find right now. For a game that hasn't been properly released yet, that's pretty bad. Which is pretty good for me...
It should also be noted that there are some favorable reviews, up to a 9.2 out of 10 by Gamezone
However, that and other reviews make no secret of the fact that all they played was a review build, and it's questionble if they even played that. Gamezones states "you can play the Campaign in co-op mode from start to finish." Yeah. Not so much.
I'll try to keep this updated as new reviews become available.
