I do not feel the need to list advantages, if you are just going to downplay it. The majority of the user's who play Halo are legit. If you want to let a few cheater's ruin the experience for you, then that's on you. But me, and probably the majority of the people here, would love to see the those features brought over to the pc platform.
In other words, there are no advantages to a number next to your name.No one is proposing having a meaningless number next to your name, at all. Taken is right--ranking is fine. It just shouldn't have to be next to your 'Tag.
Taken very clearly stated that in the OP. I agree with Aj6627; enabling ranks is a fine way to encourage cheating (which includes glitching, BTW). Ranks are fine for matchmaking, so long as they aren't public. Let the server rank people according to "skill" so that it can match people of similar "skills," just don't let anyone see their rank.
