Since I don't see one of these in the stickies or on the first few pages, I'm making one. Basically, post your suggestions for the website here. (How can Bungie make it better, what could be changed/improved, etc.) I'll update this post with users' suggestions every couple of days.

I'll start. The signatures should be under the posts like in the old site's layout. You have to hover over a person's profile name in order to view it, and moving your mouse from the box causes it to disappear. While this may not be a probelm for some, people who have set their mouse acceleration higher might have a problem with the current method.

Other users' suggestions (an asterisk before the idea means Bungie has either implemented this or is considering or working on implementing it.)

Outbox for sent PM's - mediocresniper
Colored text for moderators/admins in the private forums - mediocresniper

There should be a Post to PM Quote Feature.

(I'm still bitter about it... If you thought I've forgotten about it, boy are you wrong.)

That's not too hard to do. Select the text you want to quote, press Ctl+C. Start writing your PM, and where you want the quote to be, type "[quote*]" and press Ctl+V to put the text in the message. At the end of the quote, type "[/quote*]". Finish writing the message, and send it. (remember to type exactally what is in the quotation marks except for the asterisk at the end, or else it won't work right. The asterisk is there so the site doesn't try to convert what I type.)

An outbox, so we can keep track of the pm's that we send.

Oh honey... I know. I just think it's something that would make this site more "user-friendly" along with the above stated Outbox.

Also, when you want to type textmarkups without them taking effect, type this in..

[quote] text [/quote]

It will appear as
text
. It also works for other textmarkups (such as and ).

This doesn't really relate to the public forums, but I would like to see the option of colored text for administrators and moderators in the private chapters.

I'd like to see Bungie care about the Halo PC Forum. Seriously, look at this!

E-mailing is there for a reason. The online team is here to create a nice place to converse about bungie-related matters, not answer every question.

Signatures are meaningless and only clutter up the site. I dont want to really have to scroll through ascii pictures of emo bunnies cutting themselves to get through a thread.

If someones post intrigues you, its not that difficult to mouse over thier avatar.

Bungie should probably give an option to turn off the scrolling text at the top of the page because it makes the site almost unusable to people using Firefox and probably any other browsers that use the Gecko engine because of the slowdown. I know it's a browser issue, but it would be nice not to need to use IE / IE-Tab especially for non-windows users. I know we're a minority (especially Linux users), but please consider some kind of solution if possible.

How about one? Really, Bungie has almost totally ignored The Maw for years. Very little news, no input, no links, no serious discussion. One of the reasons I stopped playing Halo PC and posting there. And why I don't intend to get Halo 2 Vista.

Customizing GT's (Gamertags)...

Like being able to customize our gamertags a little more than just putting the "Bungie.net" sign after it...

That would be incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

This is a suggestion that many people (especially Recon) have thrown around, and Bungie has said they support the idea, so on that one, just sit and wait for something cool to happen.
