Subject: Rocket-swording in Halo 2 Vista???

Looking at the vast number of glitches that seemed to have apparently remained in Halo 2 as it has been ported to vista (such as XBR button combo and possibly superbouncing) it suddenly occured to me that rocket swording mught be possible too since this was a problem that bungie patched through live with the first patch for halo 2 for xbox to take it to v1.1.

Can anyone confirm?? Since this was a fairly major problem for the game as you could fatal swipe someone with a sword from across a level, and if perfected fairly easily dominate a map.

Have any of the problems that where patched for xbox been fixed in the vista version?? Any answers from first hand experience would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT : I had forgotten to metion that this is in fact possible with ALL weapons but i had got so used to calling it 'rocket swording' since that was how i first discovered it. Most people used to use either a rocket or a sniper rifle since the reticle had to be red on the weapon from a long distance away in order for the sword to 'home in'. These were the weapons of choice since the reticle turned red from a very long distance away. It as even possible to master doing it with a zoomed sniper.

Also, although it was patched in v1.1 it is still possible to do by pressing X, B and Y all at the same time followed by R, instead of just pressing Y followed by R when switchings weapons, but it is significantly more difficult to do and not many people can do it reliably enough to use in a real game situation.

Obviously in the PC version it would be possible to create a macro for this which could pose a really big problem for halo 2 vista!

Do you have a video of that in action on the xbox?
Edit a quick google told me how to do it:
Get a sword and a rocket launcher on any level. (it can be in campaign or multiplayer). Aim at an enemy with the rocket launcher and hit the (Y) button and the right trigger simultaneously. If done right you will fly at the enemy you were aiming at.
Anyone feel like testing this in Halo 2 v?

I highly doubt it's possible or easy to pull off. If I am correct, Halo 2 Vista contains all the updates from the Xbox version, all the way up to the patch which removes the rocket-sword glitch.

I just think you should know this glitch is actually feasible to perform on the Xbox version over Live even with the updates, it's just much harder.

I already pointed this out, and i also noted that it didnt matter how hard it was to get the combination of buttons correct or well timed since it could just be macroed to a single key on pc anyway.

Thinking of something witty to write here since 2004...

Like Kim said H2V has all the updates Halo 2 Xbox does. So I don't think you can. I would try if I could find someone willing to try with me. I've been testing glitches and pretty much all of them are there. I can still superbounce and there's still holes in the levels where you can get out etc.
