The harddrive isnt't the most important.

Your computer looks pretty good for the game. I'd just suggest you upgrade your ram to make it run somoother, but it meets the requirements as is.

Oh man, some of you guys are clueless, your computer might run the game decent on LOW settings, your video card is a piece of -blam!-. rest of it isn't bad, if this is a computer not a labtop then maybe add another gig of ram get another video card.

If this is a labtop which i think it is, then get a computer because labtops are -blam!- and shouldn't be used to play games on.

Good, then I suggest you get a new Video card, find out what slot you have AGP, PCI, PCI-E and pick up at least a 6600. then get an extra gig of ram. The game will run 100x better.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

Expect LOW on a low resolution and shoddy FPS at that.

There's no way that you'll be able to run it perfectly on medium. Halo 2 is a very poorly optimized game and thus requires A LOT to run well. I have a 640MB GeForce 8800GTS and it still is not smooth all the time on high settings (with no AA either).

that would be due to Nvidia's Drivers more than anything man. point is though, an 1100 is almost integrated graphics. I wish people would take it with a grain of salt when they buy a computer: featuring ATI 1100 graphics! Translation : marketing giving a crappy chip a name to sell it to stupid people.

I would consider it risky to allow others to define 'perfection' for me. 'Perfect' is relative. To me, a game that runs perfectly is anything that doesn't crash nor drop below 30 FPS, regardless of settings (I'll set everything on low if I had to). Many other people would consider that ridiculous.

As for playing.... I just picked up Halo 2 pc at Circuit City in Houston at Willowbrook mall. Thats the intersection of 1960 and 249.

They have the copies behind the customer service counter, they are not on the general displays.

I am playing it on:

3.2 GHZ P4
2 GB Ram
7200 RPM drive
ATI x1600 256 MB

Plays fairly smooth at 1024x768 with 2 AA and effects turned on.
For an unpatched port I am fairly happy so far.

I figure ppl will submit some video tweaks and such eventully like they did with Halo CE.

That's not even top of the line hardware. Far from it, actually. I'm glad you're having a decent experience.
